Stayed for the weekend in the bothy accommodation which was a comfortable way to camp - would definitely recommend that style of accommodation, shame there isn't a toilet within though, however knew this upon booking. Beautiful surrounding area with country and Coast - The main reason we haven't gave full marks was that we felt we were a burden staying... More

My best friends arranged a fantastic birthday surprise for me and booked us into Gorsebank Posh Pods with Hot tub.....The camping village is the best I have ever been to. Spotlessly clean pods, warm comfortable, with all the amenities you need for a great stay. Showers and loos also spotless. Lovely walks, and views. Cannot wait to go back next... More

Nice pod, beautiful quiet surroundings, clean toilet block. The only downside was the fact that my 3 year old boy stood in a massive dog poo with no shoes on outside the toilet block. We went back and hour later and it had been cleaned up. As it's a working farm quite difficult to get hold of reception but I... More

Six of us booked the large Bothy including the Hot Tub. Site is easy to find, Bothy is nice and large, plenty of seating, well equipped kitchen. The hot tub is a must after a days hard riding and something I would highly recommend. Just a few hundred yards from the Dalbeattie 7Stane route and 45 mins from Kirroughtree with... More

We stopped at Gorsebank for a 5 night mountain bike holiday. We stayed in the basic timber tents which are perfect for two people. As we were staying for 5 nights we got WiFi access included in the price which was very handy to allow for planning your days activities/weather reports etc. The timber tents are obviously more basic than... My son and I stayed overnight in a jumbo pod. We both really enjoyed our stay( not seasoned campers so all new to us). The site is fantastic if you want peace and quiet. The amenities are excellent with nice clean toilets and showers,a good kitchen area for washing dishes and a drying area. The pod is great, picnic bench... More

We used Gorsebank as a stop over from Germany up to East Scotland and stayed in the Wigwams. The site was excellent with great showers and lovely touches such as kitchen supplies, wood/marshmallow supplies for the fires. Each wigwam had good equipment with a picnic table and fire pit outside, along with the option to rent a BBQ. Nice to... More

Gorsebank is a fantastically ran site. Extremely clean facilities and set in an ideal location. It is right next to Dalbeattie forest so you can just bike to there in minutes. There is also a riding stables a few miles away at Barend.... It is fab too! If you love to be active or if you just want a peaceful... More

Booked this as a surprise for my husband as had been recommended to him previously and said he would like to visit. On arrival greeted by friendly staff. Stayed in a posh pod with my little girl. Had a fridge cushions for beds and power points. Outside had a wood fired hot tub and a picnic area. All very clean... More
