We arrived for our one night's stay at this hotel to be met by the most ignorant receptionist who told us our room wasn't ready and we had to wait, which was fine we understood we were a little early. We were actually staying at this hotel due to it's location (we were attending a wedding nearby). We explained this... more

I booked this hotel for a single room, one night stay in late May whilst on a business trip. When I made my reservation, the lady on the phone kept getting the date of my stay wrong, which I thought was just an eccentricity, but it was because they had no system! All their bookings are still paper based and... more

We stayed at this very comfortable hotel for a weekend break. The staff were very welcoming on arrival, even providing us with coffee in the guests lounge. We find this hotel very cosy with its settees and leather lounge seats and real fire in the grate. We had just booked bed and breakfast, but decided to eat in the hotel... more

The location is ok but to be honest there does not seem to be much choice in the immediate area. The staff seem polite. The hotel has a dated and stuffy atmosphere but appeared clean. It seems a place more for the elderly. I overall found it disappointing and over-rated. At the restaurant we had steak which was very grissley... more

This older hotel was just perfect for us. It's in a small town between Stirling and St. Andrews, so provided a nice "home base" for us to travel from. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. The building is older, and therefore has a lot of flair, which i like. Finally, the service was wonderful. There are two dining choices... more

This Hotel is an ideal place to stay while exploring Central Scotland. Its in a rural location, but just less than an hours drive to Edinburgh, Stirling, St.Andrews. The staff at the hotel are warm and friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them to make your stay there as comfortable and memorable as possible. This place is so... more

Just got back from a weekend break and wish we could have stayed longer. Great homely atmosphere and attentive staff. Food is fabulous and local suppliers are used where possible and there is a great choice from bar menu to a la carte.|Both the bar and restaurant have been very tastefully refurbished.Rooms are large and welcoming with lots of extra... more

What a shambles!! Almost a £100 for a double room with breakfast. "Double room" more like a matchbox. Website pics show duvet covers (None) Website pics show fruit bowl (None) En-Suite bathroom poor and dirty. Last occupants rubbish still in the drawers. Breakfast staff cleaning outside hotel between serving. The whole feeling was take the money and forget about the... more

We stayed at Castle Campbell Hotel for one night only - would have liked to have stayed longer but they were fully booked due to a wedding. Our stay was relaxing, the hosts very very welcoming and the food was excellent. Room was large ( high ceilings etc ) , hotel guide in room very useful as it was well... more
