Called in for Sunday lunch on a visit to Scotts View. Menu was a bit limited but food was well presented and tasty. Beef could of been hotter it was only just warm and green beans were virtually uncooked. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I'd probably eat here again if in the area.

Have both stayed here and eaten on a number of occasions. I attended a reunion dinner here .I was very impressed with the service and quality and standard of the room.We also liked the attentive nature of the staff and the menu more than met our needs. I have also had the pleasure of taking my younger daughter and my... More

I stayed for one night on a hiking trip. I was given room 18, bright but small with a double bed taking up much of it. The bathroom has a bath, which was nice after hiking, though the suite is a rather dated pink. The shower worked well, as did the heated towel rail. The room has a roof window,... More

Lovely warm welcome. Beautiful log stove, perfect for warming through on a cold day! Great choice of food and tasted lovely. Good selection of wines. Steaks cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend! Look forward to our next visit soon!

We have visited this hotel on numerous occasions either for drinks or lunch. We met up with some friends from Australia and a couple who live in Kelso. They recommended it too. We were very pleased with the service and the food was delicious. We did wait a while to be served but it was worth it and the wines... More

Could not have been happier with our one-night stay here. All staff members were lovely and accommodating from check in to check out. The room was clean and comfortable. Dinner and service in the bistro was excellent. The morning breakfast was a highlight - had the interesting Mexican style breakfast (can't remember what it's called) with tortilla chips salsa chicken... More

I'm sure the food would have been excellent if we had managed to get any. Various attempts to have a food order taken in the bar area were ignored.....so we left. Other folk were served so I can only assume, if you are not a local, you can forget it. Disappointing.

My husband & myself & our 14 year old twin boys stopped here about 3pm this afternoon for a late lunch after travelling back from Newcastle (today being bank holiday Monday). The welcome we received from the waiter was very friendly, he took us to the bar area where we were to wait to be shown to a table for... More

Stayed here two nights as part of an offer. Bedroom clean, boutique, nice bath plenty if hot water. Comfortable bed. Bistro and bar served good food at reasonable price and nice draft ale. Liked the foxy blonde. Will come back
