We booked this hotel based on recommendations from tourist guides and from it's website. The rooms are very nicely renovated and refurbished. No complaints about this. The recommended food quality and restaurant atmosphere however is vanished in the void. The nice dining room is not used, Basic food is being served in a breakfast room without any atmosphere. Messy leftovers... more

This was our third stay at Churches within the last year. We would not drive from Aberdeen to Eyemouth unless it was not for this little gem. This family run hotel and restaurant maintains the highest standards in courtesy, customer care and consideration. The decoration throughout is charming and well themed. The cleanliness is beyond reproach. Breakfast was anything you could... more

Just beack from a business trip to Eyemouth and stayed for the second of my weeks in Churches. I found the hotel to be perfectly maintained. The staff were fantastic and the rooms were very well decorated! The residents bar is very homely and a nice place to wind down! The food was always to a very high standard. (Try... more

We booked into Churches based on the website and other feedback. However we were very disappointed. From the poor quality cheap saggy beds to the drip of a shower even with the 'power' cord pulled! The whole place has been done on the cheap. The staff were on the whole unfriendly and there is no atmosphere at all. In fact... more

Massively dissapointed is a fair description of my one night stay in Churches. For an establishment with such a strong reputation, the standard was well below my expectation. Postive things first. I found the accomodation good with the room nicely decorated and comfortable, the decor of the Hotel was very nice indeed. It was with the food that I was... more

As for the winter Table Dote Menu, we change this menu once...

We stayed at the Churches for 2 nights in early December. Overall, we were impressed. The place is nicely decorated, and has a very nice bar as well as a conservatory and a restaurant. We didn't eat in the restaurant as a wedding was on that weekend, but the conservatory was perfectly pleasant. The food was generally very good, especially... more

The Hotel lived up to all our expectations. Spotlessly clean, nothing was too much trouble for the staff they were very helpful at all times including the ownwers. The breakfast was enough to last all day. The only downside was the fact that we had to curtail our stay by one day due to hospital appointment. We will certainly stay... more

Having stayed at Churches for 5 nights, I can say that it is by far the cleanest most pleasent hotel we have visited. Andrew and Heather were the most friendly hosts and nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant was spotless, the waiting staff were very pleasent and helpful, but most of all the food was exellent. The hotel stands... more
