On our way from Derbyshire to Aberdeen we stayed two nights in Eyemouth - partly to break the journey and partly to see some of the renowned coastal scenery in the area. In the event, the hotel was a holiday in itself. Our room was most individually decorated, comfortable and spotless. We spent a lot of time in it, as... more

We booked in at Churches on the recommendation of the Local Diving Centre at Eyemouth (Aquastars). It was just one nights stay on a B&B basis. We arrived late Friday to a warm welcome. Both Lawson & Lesley were very accommodating and couldn't do enough for you. We had planned to eat out but the rain was hammering down so... more

Recently spent a lovely weekend at this delightful hotel in a beautifully decorated bedroom with first class facilities and a view of the garden and harbour. The owners Lesley and Lawson made us fell very welcome and were attentive hosts. The seafood served in the Conservatory Restaurant , locally sourced from the nearby harbour ,was superb and we can highly... more

We were made very welcome by Lawson and Lesley, the rooms were lovely and the hotel has very nice touches and great attention to detail. The restaurant is first class though unpretentious and the seafood incredibly fresh and very tasty. I thoroughly recommend a visit to this wonderful establishment. more

A marvellous place to spend our anniversary weekend! We were welcomed and treated throughout as old friends. Our room was spacious, very tastefully decorated and spotless with a en-suite to match, including luxurious toiletries! The food was amazing - my husband, a lover of seafood, was in heaven! Everything is fresh, sourced locally and exquisitely presented. Lesley and Lawson were... more

a real treat to stay here ,in sumptuous surroundings, with such friendly people, who pay such close attention to the needs of their guests. The food was so fresh, most of it sourced from just around the corner daily and so carefully and lovingly prepared.we learned so much about the history and character of the surrounding area too, over drinks in the bar .A delightful... more

The service provided by Lawson and Lesley was excellant. Dinner was first class - the best fish dish we have had in the UK and better than most abroad! Worth coming just for the food. Only minus point was the shower control was very sensitive and was difficult to get the water tempertaure comfortable. We will definately come again and... more

We had a warm welcome and a comfortable and spacious room with views across the town towards the harbour. For the duration of our stay service was first class and we ate excellent seafood expertly cooked and presented every night. Desserts were up to the same high standard. I've never stayed anywhere berfore where I felt no need to examine... more

It is true to say that maintaining high standards of cleanliness and good service is one of the hardest things to running a hotel and seafood restaurant. However, when guests are so appreciative and understanding of what we are trying to achieve, it makes all of our efforts worthwhile. We continually try to source the freshest fish and seafood from...

This is a thoroughly recommendable hotel. The owners, Lawson and Lesley, take a personal interest in your wellbeing, yet maintain an easy-going atmosphere. The welcome is warm, the room clean and smartly appointed (ours was a little on the small side), the bathroom immaculate. Parking seems to be rather limited, though there is plenty of space on the street. The... more

We stayed for two nights in this hotel. The room was very clean with crisp white bedding and towel and Molton Brown toiletries, quiet and peaceful { apart from the seagulls!! } We did however find the bed, a lovely 200 hundred year old four poster, a tad uncomfortable as it was very 'springy' but that is a matter of... more
