I had high hopes for the Tyndrum Lodge, given its beautiful setting. But I was to be disappointed. The room was absolutely tiny, and the electricity didn't work, apart from the bedside lamp. This hotel does not deserve any praise i am afraid. The room was smelling the smoke and not clean at all. The bathroom was noisy (fan), dirty and the shower door was not closing. In the morning, the breakfast was not much better, not a lot and not very good at all. Travel a bit further and find another hotel... more

We stayed for 2 nights at the Tyndrum Lodge Hotel last weekend. We just wanted a short break and booked it with the intention of using it as a base for sightseeing. We assumed (wrongly) that as it's a 2 star hotel it would be pretty basic - it's anything but! The rooms are clean and comfortable, the food great... more
