Loved this hotel very cheap and cheerful and good entertainment with pub quiz and bingo. Food tastes great also! Will definitely be back. It's in a great location for walking or cycling. Very scenic views and easy to get to. Staff are very friendly. Parking is also good.

Overall this was my least favourite stop during a week walking the West Highland Way. The staff were not particularly engaging, and the room was dismal. I had a single room and knew in advance that I would be sharing a bathroom which wasn't a problem for me. However, the room faced the front and the traffic noise from the... More

Just stayed the one night but found it a pleasure. Rooms adequate for what I wanted and were clean and well presented. Staff were friendly and the bar and bar meal were good. For anyone wishing to explore this beautiful part of the world then I would suggest they consider staying here. I for one will go back.

The food here was average and overpriced. What was really unacceptable was that when I wanted to wash my hands after going to the bathroom, there was no soap. A man coming out of the male bathroom complained about the same there. This can happen (but shouldn't really), so I went to the bar and let one of the staff... More

Not really delivered. Good: Food is very good, and the breakfasts are hearty. It is also a very short walk away from the WHW. Bsd: Service is poor, with me getting a telling off for walking through the bar just to pay my hotel bill - weird! Rooms are dire. No shower to speak of, needs decorating, smells old, rooms... More

We stopped here for a lunchtime stop on WHW. Service great, barman had a hangover but was full of fun. Lunch was fine, soup, panini's and chips. We all had a drink and were comfy in the conservatory in the sun.

Went in here for something to eat and had the very best bowl of cockaleekie soup ever - nice friendly staff - very good. I would definitely return here for the homemade soup and friendly service. Scottish and friendly.
