I took my Mum a run to see Spring unfolding and stayed a night at the Tyndrum Inn in beautiful Perthshire. We were delighted by the 'Highland Hospitality' we received. The Hotel has recently changed hands and is already displaying a vast improvement on the previous incumbents. The New owners are enthusiastic locals who are experienced Hoteliers and have a... More

My brothers and I stopped at the Tyndrum Inn because it was the first place we came to when we entered town after the third day of our WHW walk. If we had simply had a beer and played some pool it would have been fine - great even. But we made the mistake of having dinner there rather than... More

We stayed here while walking the West Highland Way. It is an old hotel that is being renovated by very hard-working new owners. Even though the rooms were small, everything was clean and after a day's walking it was just fine. We had supper in the bar, which was busy and bustling and our meals were good.

We popped in for a drink or two, and a bite to eat to fortify us after a chilly May day on The West Highland Way. The menu looked rather nice with a Specials board too, nothing too fancy, but a pleasant selection. I opted for a Burger with Stilton cheese topping, and my friend went for the battered fish... More

Stayed here on day 4 of WHW with my 8 yr old son. The place was taken over by new owners and is a "work in progress". The best bit is the bar which just opened 4 weeks ago. Very nice with good service and good value food ( large portions ). The rooms are lacking although they have tried... More

We didn't stay here so I can only comment about the meal we had. We had been on the train to Mallaig & back (fabulous) and called in on our way back. The meals we had were very good, large portions and piping hot. The bar toilets had obviously been recently refurbished and were quite luxurious so maybe they're working through... More

Rooms dirty and dated…. both wall lights didn’t work. The day we checked in the heating was broken on one side of the Hotel. Owners provided a small electric heater which was ok. The view was supposed to be out towards the Green Welly shop, the only problem was the window was so dirty you couldn’t see out. Food was... More

Good value for money accommodation welcome at the end of a walk from Inverarnan on a glorious sunny day. Checked in at bar and shown to room where bags had been placed by manager. Outside seating was welcome in the sunshine. Twin room had an ensuite toilet and shower with wash-hand basin in room. Decor in room was dated but... More

I'm sorry but I cannot understand the excellent reviews. I was very disappointed with this place, and it was by far the worst accommodation of our walk along The Way. The whole place had a musty smell about it, and everywhere looked tired and shabby. Our room was spacious and looked clean, but with utilitarian furniture, brown walls, wash basin... More

Stayed for a night with my nephew walking WHW. I had heard that the hotel is under new management who are trying to do things properly. The superb new bar opened two days before we arrived a s it is well appointed and very comfortable. Perfect bar for country hotel. Room dated but clean, tidy and comfortable. Staff were very... More
