Stopped at the Tyndrum inn on way back from Fort William, for a bite to eat and coffee, the food was good and the staff were friendly, the decor was dated and tired looking, toilets were dirty. Would say this place was average but has loads of potential if some money was spent on improvements.

Saw this hotel advertised on Facebook and decided to book for over Hogmany, best decision made in a long time, we had the most fantastic time ever, met lots of lovely people, were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived till we left, we stayed in a family room it was very spacious and recently refurbished the staff... We met up with friends who were staying here for the weekend. Our trip initially started off with meeting them for lunch but ended up staying overnight! The food here is excellent and would recommend their steak pie. There is a lovely atmosphere with the hotel and staff were lovely and very accommodating too. We stayed in room 22 which... More

A dated hotel that is in serious need of an upgrade. Appears to be a journey hotel for power engineers. Rooms are dated. Breakfast was very average. Stayed as part of the West Highland Way and one of the most expensive rooms on route. Staff friendly. On a positive the Real Food café down the road has solid, good food... More

A really nice atmosphere, the place was filled with other people all doing the west highland way. Didn't know what a pernod and black was though, gave me something fluorescent pink! Caused a few laughs. But a good spot to stop and stay along the way.

Managed to find this great little place on a wet day travelling through to Ayr - dog friendly and even offered a bowl water. Fast and friendly service. Delicious food and great coffee. Pool table and bar. I can imagine this place would be even better on a clear day.

This was our last night in Scotland after a week and before flying from Glascow to Dublin for two weeks in Ireland. After arriving at the 'upper' rail station (they have TWO in this tiny town!) and getting a ride to the hotel from some kind travelers from Oban, we checked in, paying in advance. Our room was just fine,... More

Very enjoyable bar meal with an excellent lentil soup of the day followed by haggis with "tatties and neeps"; both starter size and more than sufficient to satisfy our hunger after a day's walk. Friendly and helpful staff who arranged a taxi to take us back to our B&B.

very nice large room, service horrible, on arrival asked about packed lunches at the bar for our walk the next day, was asked what do you want, to which we replied, what do you have, the reply to this was, what do you want... you can probaby see where this conversation was going. We eventually ordered ham and cheese sandwiches,... More
