Went in here for something to eat and had the very best bowl of cockaleekie soup ever - nice friendly staff - very good. I would definitely return here for the homemade soup and friendly service. Scottish and friendly.

My hubby and I were on a coach trip and were staying in Tyndrum. On our second day we went for a wonderful walk along the West Highland Way and on our return we called in at the Tyndrum Inn for a late lunch. We both had the burger with homemade coleslaw and I have to say it was the... More

My wife and I were driving south through some awful weather and decided to rest overnight in our camper. I'm not one for reviews so I'll call it straight. Great beer, wholesome food and friendly bar. We ordered tyndrum chicken and haggis and it was very good. Service was ace and the food piping hot. Dog friendly too. We'll be... More

Went to the restaurant but that section was closed. I wasn't sure we could have kids in there as it was very much a bar. With bar toilets to match. Still, the food was very good and very well portioned. The Inn loses a star because of the non-child friendly environment.

We were were put in a refurbished room ( double ensuite) which was excellent and appreciated a slightly early check-in. Young man running the bar, who responded to enquiries when office was not staffed, was exceptionally helpful. This was a good experience which was unexpected after reading earlier reviews.

On arrival it was obvious this hotel was very rundown. Paint was peeling from walls and doors, carpets old and worn. The shower door wouldn't stay closed it had to be held closed to stop the outside floor getting wet, there was no sink in the shower room, you had to walk across to the opposite side of the bedroom... As a stopover on the West Highland Way, Tyndrum has a reasonable selection of accommodation. Tyndrum Inn is probably the best in the area but still has a bit missing. The corridor layout feels like a rabbit warren and our brand new TV needed re-programming. Reception lacked warmth, as did the breakfast environment (not the breakfast itself), although everything was... More

New Owners are refurbishing the Hotel as fast as funds and time permit. We were in a refurbished room (excellent) and out friends in a non refurbished room (very obvious). In time all rooms will be refurbished but it takes time and money. No complaints about our room. Food potions were too large for myself and wife and had we... More
