Stayed in one of the dorms which was basic but clean. Had slight smell of damp but being where it was situated was understandable. Had bar close by which sold food which was nice along with the breakfast in the morning.

I have previously been told this is the best campsite on the WHW, I have to disagree. Firstly the positives- it's cheap at 7.50 per person and has the basics alongside a bar/restaurant that are within meters of your tent. The negatives are that there is no real "drying room"... A shed with a few drying machines (which are off... More

Good place to stop whilst walking the WHW. Paid £35 for a hobbit house and it was ok for the money paid. Food was ok both night time and breakfast and the showers were basic but adequate. Not ripped off at the bar either. So basic but satisfactory.

The only reason why I do not rate this camping site 5 stars, is because the accomodation is rather primitive. The showers do not have curtains and you have to be aware you do not wet your fresh cloths or slip in them. Also is there no wifi and no electrical hook ups, but you can always charge your equipment... More

Stayed here for 2 nights. As a seasoned camper, and someone who knows the region well, I thought it time I checked this place out. Full of walkers of course, and facilities are fair for them. I must point out however, contrary to what others have posted, I found the showers disgusting. They really need to powerwash these down weekly,... More

Me and my buddy were walking up the west highland way when we stumbled upon this campsite while we were pretty much dead on our feet. We set up for 7.50 each for one night and enjoyed the indoor cooking facilities, showers and toilets. The bar is also very atmospheric, full of random nick nacks and that night we watched... More

Firstly, as a location, setting and set up it's really good, there are lots of camping space and perfect for WHW but some things went a bit wrong after this visit. People want to visit the drovers Inn, why wouldn't they? But to stop people coming back after 11pm is shocking. I arrived, set up and got to bar via... More

We stayed here while walking the West Highland Way and I loved it!! We booked a bed and breakfast and we were pleasantly surprised at large the cabin was. The room was large and very comfortable with a nice large shower. There was also a washer and dryer available, with free detergent, so that after 4 days on the trail... More
