Stayed in the yurt, was very cosy, probably perfect for a couple wouldn't recommend with youngsters but we left ours at home so was fine! Could get claustrophobic with the lack of windows if you stayed in during the day I guess but why would you want to in that part of the world - and if you book a... More

Firstly booked in a small wigwam - bad mistake they are awful, felt like an old scout hut!! Managed to change to a normal wigwam the girl was very pleasant and didn't see this as a problem which I was so grateful for! When entering the 'normal' wigwam the smell of fire smoke hit you straight away - it was... More

Stayed for 3 nights with our grandchildren, they loved the freedom especially the Trading Post little shop where they could spend their pocket money, the campfire is a must to toast the marshmallows, Try the goat currie burgers cooked on the campfire,,,, they were brilliant, Toilets and showers were always clean and staff were always helpful, A great wigwam experience,

Having stayed for a week we can only say that this was a most enjoyable experience. The staff were more than friendly and helpful considering how busy they were. I would say to anyone who says that they are not happy with the staff, that they should spend a week in their shoes and see how they would cope when... More

We stayed overnight Sat- Sun in the camping field. Met with friends, who had been up a few weekends before to stay in a wigwam, loved it and asked us to camp with them. So in total that made us 4 adults, 4 kids. We had not booked but payment and check in was quick and the lady was cheery... More

We stayed in Bare Eagle Lodge we were a party of seven! Were the other three were going to sleep I really don't know. The lodge is small. Luckily there was a spare wigwam and three of our party slept in that. They are very basic. We only stayed one night and then continued on the WHW. The fire pit... More

I took a bit of convincing from my Husband to book this instead of a nice, warm spa break! And I loved every moment of it. Staff were lovely, scenery gorgeous, wigwams spotless and much to my amazement I loved the outdoor camp fire cooking experience. Take a wee risk and experience the outdoors, wigwam style... you will not regret... More

We stopped in the Yurt and at £75 (sat night premium) it was expensive. For that price I was surprised to find that no bedding was supplied but it could be hired at £5 per person which was a lot on top of the price of the stay. That said, the Yurt was lovely to stay in and had been... More

Lovely place to stop on the WHW, well stocked shop, great service, beautiful views from the camping field. Camping field was well maintained and tidy, and showers and kitchen facilities were exactly what we needed and more than we expected. Weather was good so we cooked outdoors but the seating area is large with tables and chairs which would've been... More
