This was right on the West Highland Way so ideal for us. Nice big room, en suite and a good shower. We were made very welcome by the owner who made us a coffee on arrival. All lovely and clean. Good breakfast to set us up for the day - fresh grapefruit and fresh trout - all beautifully cooked.

Tigh na Fraoch (House of Heather) is situated only 50 metres from the West Highland Way (righthand side after the camping site) and ideal for a night in Tyndrum. Tigh na Fraoch offers basic rooms in a basic house without any frills. Despite the somehow outdated interior everything is clean and there are no signs of tirement. The owner, Heather,... More

Once again Heather was welcoming with tea and cake on our arrival having walked from Ardlui on the West Highland Way. The fresh trout for breakfast was delicious and really nothing is too much trouble for her. We will always return to this b and b.

Location was good for West Highland Way hikers. Close to trail and close to main road in the village where you can get a bite to eat, there is a nice pub at the Tyndrum Inn or supplies at the Green Welly Stop or Brodies Store. There is also a Tourist Information Center. We were met at the door by... More

Warm welcome with tea and cake. Very friendly. Very clean, the most comfortable beds on the west highland way so far. Excellent breakfast. Lovely place to stay. Had a triple room with separate bathroom that had a bath. Just what was needed.

After walking 14 miles we were glad of the warm welcome Heather gave us. Cup of tea, slice of cake, and some friendly chit-chat: as well as some recommendations of where to dine in Tyndrum that evening. Our room was a great size, and had beautiful views out to the river which runs behind the house. There were no locks... More

No en suite but we were given sole use of bathroom and to have a bath after a long walk on the West Highland Way was blissful Hostess was exceptionally friendly and helpful TV in room was great but would have preferred double bed although we knew singles only were provided

This was our first night stay while walking the northern half of the WHW with our train not arriving until after 8 on a rainy night. Heather was waiting for us in the dark with a warm welcome at the end of her drive as we walked down from the train. Our triple room was cosy and included a private... More

After our very wet walk from Inverarnan, Heather welcomed us in, helped us to dry our wet clothes, and soon had a pot of hot tea on the table. Within sight of the WHW and a short walk into town Tigh-na-fraoch is in a great location. Breakfast options included delicious freshly caught local Trout or traditional porridge. Highly recommended.

Heather and Midge the dog were very friendly and I felt really at home. Central location in village near to eateries and shop. Comfortable bed and stylish bathroom. Good value. Couldn't get TV to work.
