a weekend break organised by local newspaper. Reception and public areas very nice and welcoming. Staff were helpful Meals very good.Room was very poor in urgent need of upgrading. Felt every spring in the mattress and did not need wake up call as the heating came on at 0545 each morning and banged its way through the pipes in our... More

We only stayed one night on the way home from the Bay Dornoch Hotel but the hotel was excellent & the food was very good, the hotel is ideally placed for a holiday in the Loch Lomond area & we shall no doubt return for a longer stay.

Stayed here for one night in march while skiing at Glencoe. One night was enough thanks . From the outside this is a very elegant looking building and a typical scottish highland hotel . Inside it is very dated , the rooms are dim and old , and the bar and function room reminded me of a golf club with... More

Our first (of many, I hope) Shearings Coach holiday. Organisation by Shearings was superb, from booking, to being picked up locally, and successfully and painlessly being transported to Scotland. The hotel was stunning. All public areas superb, standard bedroom a bit dated, but did not matter, everything worked and was clean. Very happy atmosphere from staff who worked very hard.... More

We spent 4 nights at The Tarbet in April this year and for the price I think it's very good. We were half board. The breakfast is very good, porridge, fruit juice, cooked breakfast, cereal etc. The evening meal is 3 courses and a choice of starters, at least 3 different main courses every evening and a dessert. There is... More

Had a lovely 2 night stay at this hotel, would definitely go back. The only thing i had a fault with was the breakfast, i would have preferred a scottish breakfast to an english, and you only get a tea spoon of beans.
