Had a lovely overnight stop here. Wasn't doing the West Highland Way, just climbed Ben Lomond. We stayed in room 15 which was spacious and had everything you would expect. Food in the bar was also good. Can't really fault it. Yes compared to some of the bigger cities the hotel is expensive but given the location I can understand... More

After a days walking we arrived at the Rowardennan Hotel tired and we were allocated Room No. 4. This room was absolutely fine. it was spacious enough; clean with two twin comfortable beds and most importantly had a large bath with ample hot water to relax in after a long days walking. It looked onto the rear of the property... More

This review is for the restaurant only. Beautiful scenery on a lovely Scottish late summer afternoon, a respectable home made burger in a brioche bun and quite a nice coffee. What could have made this trip perfect you are surely asking? A little customer service from the staff......a tiny smile, a simple hello, how can I help you - just... More

Stayed here as a stopover walking the WHW, looks great from outside. Rooms very nice and had great view of loch but this was spoilt by staff using area outside room as smoking area. Food was very average and service was mixed, some staff just couldn't care about anything- bar and restaurant need some money spent on it. Staff need... More

I recently walked the West Highland Way and opted for B & B type accommodation and a bag carrier service. I stayed in some lovely places of varying cost all of which I would say represented good value for the money - with one exception, Rowardennan Hotel Bunk House. I paid £27 for a bunk in a poorly maintained building... More

As a group of 8 on our recent West Highland Way walk we stayed here for one night. NEVER EVER AGAIN. Where to start, 5 rooms, sleeping 10, 1 (yes only 1) shower and the toilet in the same room. The bunkhouse is spread over two units which resembled shipping containers from the outside and as a result of the... More

We stayed here one night as part of our West Highland Way walk and our organiser booked the bunkhouses rather than rooms in the hotel. What a mistake that was. They are tiny, cramped, no chair and bunk beds which for me, were unsafe. Add to that, there were 9 of us and there was one toilet and one shower... More

Room and food are pretty average and a tad overpriced but you are directly on the West Highland Way. Ideal for walkers that are only staying one night, are not on a budget, and don't fancy staying at the youth hostel down the road.

Spent one night here while walking the West Highland Way. The location can't be beat as it's right on the Way. Our rooms were fine....we had a fairly large ground floor room with a view of the Loch....but the kitchen staff took their smoke breaks outside our window, so we had to keep the blinds closed for the most part.... A nice place to stay doing the west highland way, friendly staff and a nice restaurant serving good wholesome food, breakfast was very nice and they did pack lunches at a reasonable price. Lovely room views over Loch Lomond.
