Hotel recently reopened. Friendly welcome. Nice room, fresh decor but one bedside lamp had no shade. Food average, in March only served in bar but friendly service. Breakfast slow and poor choice of cereals and no fruit.

We stayed here for one night. Rooms are pretty basic but clean, could maybe do with upgrading. Our bathroom was also a short walk down the corridor which wasn't ideal. Bar has a good friendly atmosphere with excellent food. Breakfast was also good. Not much in the area bar walking with Ben Lomond on the doorstep. Views are stunning. Would... More

I stayed in the bunkhouse to keep the price of my West Highland Way trip down. I just had 1 night here at £20 plus £10 for my dog! This dog friendly and cosy accommodation came in the form of a porta-cabin that was split into 2 rooms with a shared toilet and shower in the middle. My room consisted... More

this hotel is placed is a god forsaken land BUT once you arrive you will be thanking your patience forever The building is a old house renewned right oh the eastern side of the Loch lomond, the room we booked was facing that direction, it has every comfort and the staff is kind and helpful. It has a bar with... More

What a place We had room 1 over looking Loch Lomond what a wonderful view every morning as we stayed here for 4 nights. It is very remote and about 7 miles up a dead end road. The staff were great and made the holiday. The food was very tasty and the breakfast was first class. It is mainly a... More

The Rowardennan Hotel is exactly what one would expect from a Scottish 3 star hotel that has cornered its local market. The bar is nice enough, the food is fine but not great and the rooms are large and clean, if a little dated. Most of the staff do come across as pretty dissatisfied, apart from the nice South African... More

We stayed here to do some walking in summer 2014 and had a brilliant experience. It was quiet, clean and had brilliant ammenties - great food, great bar and lovely staff and in the most picturesque location with stunning views over the Loch. Would definately stay again.

Arrived tired after a long day walking - the receptionist couldn't find our reservation and suggested we had booked the youth hostel instead to which I was about to have a sense of humour failure - however it turned out the booking was in my sister in laws name even though I had booked it . The room was nice... More

Location is lovely. Room was fine (double with ensuite) although nothing out of the ordinary for a relatively expansive hotel but as it has a monopoly in the area it can charge what it likes. Wi-fi did not work. We agree with earlier posters about the not overly friendly receptionist and we were not made aware we were entitled to... More

The Rowardennan Hotel is an elegant old hotel with a fantastic lake front location. The rooms are large and comfortable however there are no modern convinces like air conditioning or elevators. WIFI is limited to the attached pub only, not in the rooms. It is also very slow so that web browsing is all but impossible. Mobility challenged guests should... More
