I've never visited the Helmand Province, and I've never taken a trip to the Gaza Strip, but when the Rowardennan Hotel is only on the shores of Loch Lomond who needs to? It has everything you could wish for, from overpriced rooms (£21 per person for a 'twin room', a miniature sized, disgustingly unclean room which was freezing.) The beds... More

Location and views from the beer garden are stunning and the staff are really friendly some parts of hotel a bit run down but an old building bit pricey at 100 for a twin for the night and breakfast a bit poor set up usual buffet and all self help no fried eggs offered only scrambled which is a bit... Friendly staff- welcoming and helpful, nice rooms - seemingly new furnishings, clean and tidy, good food in the clansman with entertaining bar staff, incredible location - views and scenery are second to none. Reasonable cost.

Menu limited and staff are not happy bunnies. Smile more and be nice to the customers. Not my cup of tea. Expected a little better nowadays. I think they have the monopoly of the trade and dont really try as hard as they could. Location lovely though.

I have just returned from one night's stay, I have titled this revue "a pleasant surprise" because of the remote location on the banks of Loch Lomond. It has clearly been refurbished to a high standard. Our room was excellent and others in our party said the same. The buffet breakfast was fresh and varied. The hotel lies almost on... More

Hotel recently reopened. Friendly welcome. Nice room, fresh decor but one bedside lamp had no shade. Food average, in March only served in bar but friendly service. Breakfast slow and poor choice of cereals and no fruit.

We stayed here for one night. Rooms are pretty basic but clean, could maybe do with upgrading. Our bathroom was also a short walk down the corridor which wasn't ideal. Bar has a good friendly atmosphere with excellent food. Breakfast was also good. Not much in the area bar walking with Ben Lomond on the doorstep. Views are stunning. Would... More

I stayed in the bunkhouse to keep the price of my West Highland Way trip down. I just had 1 night here at £20 plus £10 for my dog! This dog friendly and cosy accommodation came in the form of a porta-cabin that was split into 2 rooms with a shared toilet and shower in the middle. My room consisted... More
