Only had the pleasure of spending one night here, wish it had been longer. Room number 1, superior double, lovely large room, clean and comfy with the most breathtaking views you could hope to wake up, especially in December as the snow on the mountains sparkled and reflected on the peaceful Loch and the trees were awhite with frost.... heavenly....

Location is superb for walkers. Path leading up Ben Lomond is a stones throw away. Views across Loch Lomond are excellent. Not a 5 star hotel by any means, but it's clean and comfortable. Food was good enough and so was room.

Had a lovely 2 night stay this weekend . The staff were accommodating. The views were beautiful . We stayed in room 8 right at the top of the hotel, it was modern and up to a high standard . Breakfast was good wasn't to keen on the haggis but everything else was delicious. Overall it was a very enjoyable... More

Walking the west highland way we chose budget accommodation and so our expectations were not high however in hindsight we should have spent a little more and actually stayed INSIDE the hotel. You see this was our first stop on the way, having walked all the way from Milngavie on our first day. It had poured most of the day... More

Stayed here fri-mon on family break to celebrate a birthday. We had a hotel lodge which was absolutely stunning and a room in the hotel which was equally impressive in terms of accommodation, facilities and food. The hotel is everything you would want on a break; cosy, welcoming, charming and offered great food and drinks. Lots of fab walks and... More

We have just returned from a two night stay at the Rowardennan Hotel. On the plus side the hotel was clean and the staff welcoming. The food was good pub grub and the potions were big. On the down side however, the roomwe were shown to on arrival was beside reception, which wasn't a problem but the "loch view" meant... More

We stayed and ate at The Rowardennan Hotel on our second night while walking The West Highland Way. Like most, if not all, of the hotels along the walk you are left with the feeling of being somewhat ripped off due to the limited availability of accommodation. There again we had no plans to camp and fight it out with... More

Stayed 2 nights, mid October on a DBB Amazon Local deal. Stayed in a double room, (which was 2 singles moved together, but no biggy) on the first floor. As with all old hotels do not expect a long lie as you can hear every foot step above and every part of the conversation next door. The room was modern,... More

We arrived early after a 7 mile hike at 115 pm. Our rooms were ready. Older style hotel that could use some TLC. For the afternoon we enjoyed some pints in the pub and walked around the property. WiFi only in the pub, although towards the end of the month they run out of band width so internet slow or... More

We stopped here while walking the West Highland Way and while a lot of reviewers didn't like it, I didn't mind it all too much. We walked the Way, got here and brought our bags upstairs, and then ate some food and had a few pints outside. I was walking with my best friend and our boyfriends, and after dinner... More
