Having arrived at the Hotel whilst walking the West Highland Way, as it is on the route, you would image it to be a good experience. However, went to reception, no one about, no signs stating any actions to obtain service. Shouted for attention, nothing waited 10 minutes no answer. Walked around the ground floor with no staff visible. I... More

My two friends and I walked part of the West Highland Way last week and we stayed in a triple room in this lovely hotel. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. We found all the staff to be very helpful. The bar and dining area is roomy but cosy. We all had fish and chips with a lovely salad... More

Just back from walking the west highland way and had an overnight at Rowardennan Hotel. Chap at reception was friendly and welcoming. Room 16 was spotlessly clean - even by my fussy standards - and had amazing views of the loch and hills. Dinner in the bar was lovely although the guy on the bar didn't appear that well organised.... Me and 3 members of my family took a trip to the hotel as walk in guests. We decided to stay for dinner as the food other guests had, looked very appealing. We were greeted by 2 lovely polite young ladies who were the waitresses on duty at that time. They were very helpful(especially the small blonde 1). However the... More

Stayed here as part of the West Highland Way for 1 night. The hotel itself was lovely, looked like everything was quite new. Had a big modern bar and a small traditional bar, which was lovely. But after walking all day I needed a good dinner and I ordered steak pie. It was awful! The meat was just so fatty,... More

Where to start? Well..... On checking in were met with extremely rude staff member! No offer of assistance with luggage! (following a 14 mile walk)!!!!! Bar staff were lovely as was the evening meal but at breakfast time things went seriously down hill! Told to " go away and come back later" when we went for breakfast and when we... More

Rude, unfriendly, unhelpfull staff, at breakfast our party of 6 was told to go away and come back in 5 minutes, when we were eventually allowed back in we were very rudely told to move, there was no coffee, hot water, juice, dirty cups on table, staff reluctant to refill, very very insolent breakfast staff, bad attitude, when you requested... We must have stayed in Lodge 29 just after the previous reviewers left, returning from our 3 night stay with friends earlier this week. Our lodge was very close to the edge of the loch, with stunning views of the loch and surrounding area. It was beautifully furnished and very warm and cosy - especially during those bursts of rain...
