From the perfectly prepared porridge and cooked breakfast to the cosy comfortable beds the accommodation is immaculate and is everything a walker could want at the end of a days walking. No detail is overlooked right down to the toffee filled jar on the lounge table. Right on the WHW and the loch side it couldn't be better placed. Izzi... More

Easily the best overnight stay of our West Highland Way Adventure. Ivor and Izzy provided a warm, comfortable, welcoming and relaxing atmosphere that completely met our needs. Beds were comfortable breakfast was ample, Ivor and Izzy sent us on our way ready for the long day ahead. We will definitely be back.

What a joy to be greeted by Izzi and Ivor after a long day's walking on the West Highland way, and then to discover that our room was so comfortable. Not only was it beautifully decorated but there were also lovely little touches like the slipper socks. The breakfast was excellent and Izzi and Ivor made us feel very welcome... More

My wife and I stopped here whilst doing the WHW. When I say simply the best, I don't mean the best in the west highlands, but simply the best B&B we have ever stayed. Nothing was overlooked, no detail too small and the room was immaculately presented. We were made to feel really welcome and the air was relaxed and... More

Stayed here with izzy and ivan, what a lovely cottage everything beautifully laid out, attention to detail second to none, even the sandwiches we ordered were perfectly made. A must if you appreciate the effort this couple make for their guests. Many thanks to you both.

This was by far the best b&b we stayed in on our 7 nights on the West Highland Way. There had obviously been lots of thought by the owners as what should be in the rooms. The room had everything we needed and some things we would never have thought we needed. Breakfast was also really good. Thanks Izzy and... More

This was our first stop on the WHW, and by far the best. The hosts, Izzy and Ivor, picked us up all the way from from Balloch and immediately made us feel welcome. They were fantastic hosts, very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, comfortable and had everything one could possibly need after a day of walking. In... More

We stayed here on our recent WHW walk, having stayed here 10 years previously when we did the same walk. Again, the welcome was superb, the room lovely with lots of thoughtful little extras and the breakfast was excellent. Freshly cooked and served piping hot. We were given a lift into and back from Rowardennan that evening courtesy of the... More

This is a beautiful B&B with a beautiful view of the loch. Hosts are very accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was excellent. I highly recommend Anchorage Cottage. On a nice day you can swim in Loch Lomond ( we did!)

A great place to stay - delightful sitting room with stunning views. Great hosts - plums from the garden lasted the rest of the walk. Very helpful, friendly and great attention to making our stay very comfortable thank you.
