This was the second of our stops while walking the WHW. It's ideally placed for having an early dinner at Balmaha and ambling the last 4 miles. The b&bs is perfectly set up with an ample drying room and a very warm welcome. Izzy makes you very comfortable and the bedrooms are luxurious. The small details, delicious breakfast and packed... I fully endorse all the good things already written. It's the friendliest, most comfortable & fully equipped b&b I've used in world-wide travels. Izzy and Ivor have tried to anticipate and cater for every need of their guests. Diolch yn fawr iawn.

We where very enjoyed and pleased from the hospitality and the worm welcome we got. The room and shower where very clean and comfortable, breakfast was more than amazing (and they are vegan friendly upon request). very worm hospitality and very supportive with tips and Info (and great stories of the area's history). Absolutely drop-dead gorgeous location on banks of Loch Lomond sets the scene for this lovely B&B. Main challenge was walking past it and onto Rowardennan which was the end-point for our WHW section as the B&B looked sooooo tempting. But we enjoyed a restorative meal plus drinks and a dram before a pre-arranged pick-up back to the B&B (with return... More

This was hands down the best B&B we stayed in in three weeks in Scotland. Absolutely the best breakfast, and the warmest hosts. And that is really saying something. Very quiet and beautiful spot. I would highly recommend Anchorage to anyone walking the WHW. Or this would be an ideal spot to get away and enjoy some peace for several... More

Perfect Scottish B&B along the West Highland Way. Very nice, clean, cosy and quiet. Friendly hosts. Our day route ended at Rowardennan Hotel from which we were picked up. The Anchorage Cottage looks fairly new and the rooms are decorated lovely.

We went to Anchorage Cottage while walking the West Highland Way in summer 2015. If you are doing the WHW you should get in contact first with Anchorage Cottage and ask for a pickup at Rowardennan and walk past Achorage Cottage since the way really stretches from there. Behind Anchorage Cottage the ways are leading up very high at steep... More

Day 2 of the West Highland Way typically terminates in Rowardennan and you'd be very lucky to take shelter at Anchorage Cottage, which was our overall favorite stay. One bonus of this accommodation is that it's 3.5 miles from the end of the stage so you can drop your bag at the BnB and walk into Rowardennan fast and light... More

From the perfectly prepared porridge and cooked breakfast to the cosy comfortable beds the accommodation is immaculate and is everything a walker could want at the end of a days walking. No detail is overlooked right down to the toffee filled jar on the lounge table. Right on the WHW and the loch side it couldn't be better placed. Izzi... More

Easily the best overnight stay of our West Highland Way Adventure. Ivor and Izzy provided a warm, comfortable, welcoming and relaxing atmosphere that completely met our needs. Beds were comfortable breakfast was ample, Ivor and Izzy sent us on our way ready for the long day ahead. We will definitely be back.
