We went there in August and stayed.just one night. I used the groupon deal and booked a lakeside room, which was spacious and quiet, and the view of Loch Earn was beautiful. Its location in the national park is convenient to explore the surrounding area. We will consider going again and staying for a longer time.

Spent a lovely weekend in Room 20, beautiful room, amazing views. Had dinner on the first night and the presentation and quality were equally good. Staff were also very helpful. Looking forward to returning soon! Thanks to everyone at the hotel for making our stay so pleasant.

When we first arrived at the hotel, we were early and the rooms were still being prepared but Alan, the owner, greeted us very warmly and advised us where to go to obtain some items which we were needing. Indeed, his friendliness and good humour was present on all occasions which we met him and I found him very helpful... More

Got a lovely surprise with the room we were given (18) it was more like 2 rooms and huge bathroom with shower and bath requires a bit of an upgrade and mattress wasnt comfortable but just used duvet from one if the single beds to lay on to help my back. Meals were great in the restaurant and the location... More

We were here on a 5pm deal and were not disappointed.. Of course it is not the most luxurious of hotels which some reviewers have seemed to expect but our room was extremely clean and comfortable. The views are spectacular. Again food is not fine dining but then we didn't expect that. It was decent well cooked fare. Service was... More

We stayed for 2 nights with a 5pm big deal. This was good value but I would have been disappointed if I had paid the full price. The room was large and comfortable, the furniture was basic and I think that let it down. The staff were lovely and the food was fantastic. Thank you for going out of your... More

Terrible hotel in the middle of no mans land!! Worst bit was the service and general attitude of ALL staff. Food limited and not great quality. Again , service terrible. No one could be bothered with us. Felt like we were really putting them out by staying there. Room tiny and bathroom a flooded disaster. Wouldn't go back if I... More

Spent two nights at Clachan cottage as part of an Autumn walking break. Hotel is in a spectacular location in one of the world's great beauty spots views from the front of the building are spectacular.- the hotel itself isn't. Our room was clean and reasonably comfortable except the very flimsy pillows the bathroom was huge but the paper bath... More

This hotel is in a beautiful part of Scotland overlooking Loch Earn. Views are spectacular from breakfast room in hotel. Our experience there was very fraught, from finding someone's worn and soiled underwear in the wardrobe to fungus and black mould all around shower fittings and window in bathroom, to a paper bath mat which disintegrated as soon as you... Great little place for a night or two to recharge the batteries. We visited last week on a Itison voucher deal. Lovely drive up and not disappointed when we got there, the views across from the hotel were amazing. We had a drink in the bar when we arrived and had a browse through the menu unfortunately we left it... More
