We wondered why this hotel had rooms available on the web at the peak of the season at no notice but all became clear when we got there. From the front door onwards (see photo) it was apparent that the hotel needed major investment. It wasn't only that many repairs and replacements were needed but many repairs were really rough.... Stayed one night. Paid 92 for b&b which is in keeping with this area. Beautiful building in beautiful surroundings. Stayed in room 16, everything as expected in room with views of the countyside. However I do agree about hot water not being hot enough for my liking. Had dinner in conservatory which was above average for price. I had lasagne... More

I was a bit worried after having read quite a few negative reviews, however our stay was perfect. Staff are very friendly, and we liked that we were able to have our dog with us in the bar when we had a meal, also breakfast in the morning, only small grumble , the chairs are a bit low down to... We stayed Sat 15th Aug-17th. Staff were lovely! Greeted us with a warm welcome. Thorntons chocolates and a bottle of Fizz in our very romantic four poster room. Got engaged at the nearby walking distance Dochart Falls and staff at hotel were lovely when they found out and it really added to our celebrations. Food was OUT OF THIS WORLD!... More

We stayed 2 nights at the Killin Hotel and found our room was OK i.e. functional but dated. Hot water was an issue on both nights. In fact could not get any hot water via tap or shower on both evenings and look warm in the morning . Showers were noisy. Woken at 6.30 first morning by what I thought... More

Bags of character and that's just the 100 year old elevator. Charming and cosy, the rooms were somewhat bijou but very comfortable. Unfortunately the shower was luke warm and it was disappointing not to be told on arrival of the need to book an evening meal as this was the day of the annual agricultural show in Killin and all... We got a deal from KGb deals and stayed here for 3 nights in between Christmas and new year. Whilst it's not the most luxurious hotel in Scotland it was certainly very nice for our stay. Found the staff to be helpful and friendly. The room whilst small was very comfortable. The food was of good quality It's a good... More

We have been to this hotel every year for the last 5 years but this time when we arrived were left waiting in reception for 10 mins. Then a member of staff opened the door between reception and bar and shouted through the door "what is it". We asked for 2 rooms and was shouted at "eh naw". We were... More

We were stuck in Killin for a night without anywhere to stay and we came to the Killin Hotel, the receptionist was extremely welcoming and gave us ( very quickly) two rooms on the same floor ( to keep us near together) for a big family of five. The rooms were very comfortable especially after a delicious meal in their... More

We stayed 3 nights at the Killin Hotel and on a good day the showers were luke warm. Day one I was in room 16. A very tired bathroom in need of tlc. the water was stone cold and I had to go without a shower. Day 2 I was moved to room 39 which to be fair was a... More
