we stayed in this hotel for 2 nights whilst we went walking different ben's, we arrived on friday evening and the room was rather small... the bathroom was the size of a traditional phone box... no sink in bathroom, only in bedroom... the bed was clean though even though it sloped on the left hand side... so for me overall... more

Like the title says, the hotel is in a great location right on the riverbank with great views all round. Being a small village in the central highlands it's nice and quiet too. The food was excellent. The staff were very attentive, although it did take a couple of minures to get our key now and then. the room however... more

We stopped off in Killin in 2008 to break the journey to Knoydart and did not arrive until after 11.00 pm on a Friday night. The Hotel reopened the kitchen and cooked the three of us a meal - and a very good meal at that. They kept the bar open for as long for as we wanted and were... more

The Killin hotel is an old building but it has character and the room we had was very clean but a bit on the small side. The staff were very friendly and helpfull and the breakfasts were probably the biggest you can get in Scotland and were also very tasty. The hotel is in an ideal setting for getting out... more

I went to the killin hotel with a large group for a murder mystery dinner and although i had a really enjoyable weekend, the hotel is in need of some modernisation. Its very basic, however the staff are very friendly and make up for the basic vut clean rooms. more

I am still smiling from having one of the most delightful weekend breaks ever! This hotel is placed in the most picturesque setting, right on the banks of the river lochay in Killin. You will be welcomed warmly by staff, and the hotel owner as we were. There is a warm and friendly vibe, not just amongst the staff but... more

This hotel had been taken over and was being done up. The restaurant and public areas were very pleasent and the meals we had we enjoyed. I had booked a three night stay in May. We were shown to our room by the receptionist via a very ancient lift. Our room was small but adequate. However, when I opened the... more

My husband and I spent one night here on our touring honeymoon and loved it. The village is beautiful itself and we thought this little hotel was a star. It has a variety of areas including sun terrace, lounge, 2 restaurants and a fab bar with roaring fires. We booked a 4-poster room which had a lovely view over the... more

We stayed at the Killin Hotel for seven days. This is a very convenient hotel for seeing all parts of Scotland if you are looking for a "home base". It's a bit off the main roads, but most everything is a day trip from here. The rooms were very nice, and the staff was very helpful!! We would return here... more

I know everyone has their own views and standards, but this place is simply the pits. We arrived at 5:30pm on a wild and stormy February evening. After fighting with the doors against the wind (to close them, not open them!) we waited a few minutes before either of the two staff at the desk condescended to attend to us.... more
