A nice hostel if you looking for a one or two night stay. Rooms are very small (advertised as four people, however realistically only big enough for two as only two people can stand at any one time). Located on the opposite side of the loch to any main roads/towns. Adequate for an overnight stop whilst doing the WHW.

Stayed here on way back from NorthWest Scotland. it was our third Hostel as opposed to wild camping which we had been doing for the previous week. The building isd lovely, the rooms are adequate as Hostels go, but no locks on doors this probably goes back to it's previous use as a Boys Brigade Hostel. Although it says you... More

Arrived at the Inversnaid hotel and phoned up to the bunkhouse and we were oicked up very quickly. I have to say we did not want to stay at the bunkhouse but the hotel would not answer emails or phones to enable us to book so we though one night in the bunkhouse would be ok. We were shown to... Hi reviewer; thanks for taking the time. It's always a huge disappointment to us when we receive negative comments and we do listen very carefully to all that is said and take action where appropriate. We are very clear in our advertising that we are a "bunkhouse" where we provide basic budget accommodation with great facilities. We are aware that,... More

After a hard day walking, the Invernasaid Bunkhouse is a great sight to see! The rooms are basic, but all you want is a bed. The Bistro is brilliant - great beers, wine and drinks. The food is fresh, tasty and plentiful - highly recommended!!

The location can be either seen as great or poor because it's in the middle of nowhere. Personally, I thought this was a real plus point as it allows you to explore the area and it's a great base for Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. Very friendly staff and the dinners they sell were tasty. Only slight let down are... More

The Inversnaid Bunkhouse is an outstanding place to eat and have witty conversation with the staff. The food is fantastic with a great selection including a vegan Madras curry. I'm not even vegan and this was fantastic. Good wine is available as well as a very good Haggis, especially for the uninitiated. That's the world upstairs, now for the world... More

We stayed here on day 2 of our West Highland Way walk. We had walked from Balmaha which wasn't a great distance (around 14 miles) but was a really tough walk as we opted to take the low route to look for Rob Roy's captive cave rather than stick to the upper route - bad mistake as it was very... Stopped here on day two of our cycle trip south on the west highland way, and what a welcome break it was. The cycle part along side Loch Lomond isn't much fun when you're carrying your bike and it's raining. Then the hill up to the bunkhouse is just the icing on the cake. But the bunkhouse is well worth... More

Take the number to call for a ride from the bottom of the very long hill. Before that, book the Log Cabin rather than the bunkhouse. For a couple would be fine, but there are not enough bathrooms, and no locks on the doors, so when you go upstairs to enjoy the incredibly fine food and comfortable couches for telling... More

After a long slog up the hill (wish we'd opted for the complimentary taxi service!!) we were warmly welcomed. The bunkhouse is clean and modern. As well as the bunkhouse itself, there are private rooms (which we were in) with a shared bathroom. The food in the "Top Bunk Bistro" was top-notch and reasonably priced. Service throughout was friendly and... More
