I always try to be as objective as possible so on a positive, the hotel staff were polite and helpful. The rooms and corridors smelt fresh and floral however sadly that is all I can say positively. The hotel rooms are now looking dated, even a lick of paint on the doors might have helped. Our room was clean but... More

Typical Travellodge - soft beds - not enough pillows (although just ask and you@ll get more)..Get a sea facing room for spectaculay views. Birders take your binoculars for when the tide is out. Dogs can stay .Restaurant pub The Commodore adjoins and is great on a sunny day to sit in the garden.

A little bit different from the normal Travelodge experience as this was a former Vintage Inn, who still run the bar and restaurant in the same building, so it still under the same roof which is very convenient in bad weather. Room was nice, warm and clean with a only a shower which was OK with us. We booked this... More

We booked the Travelodge based on having stayed there previously. On arrival we were allocated a room on the top floor. We then discovered that there were no lifts in the building. I was informed that they had been blocked off to make way for additional accommodation when Travelodge took over the rooms. As my wife has mobility problems the... More

We had three days here at the end of April 13, and must say that we were more impressed with this travelodge than some we had stayed at previously. The hotel's situation is marvelous, get a room at the front and you have an uninterrupted view right across the Clyde. This travelodge is merged seamlessly with the Commodore pub and... More

We stayed here for 2 nights while house hunting as we are relocating to Helensburgh. The family room was fine it was clean, although the cover for the pull out bed could have done with a good wash and we only had 2 pillows. Could maybe do with a makeover, the whole hotel I mean, as some travelodges we have... More

We booked this thinking that Travelodges have certain standards....we were wrong. This is a horrible Travelodge. The Commodore pub which is part of the hotel is lovely and clearly the travelodge have taken over the hotel but they havent done anything to the hotel at all. Our shower fitting was broken although the shower worked, the sofa had stains all... More

We stayed here for 3 nights as a mini break. The hotel was lovely and attached to a lovely pub. The staff at the hotel were extremely nice and very helpful. nothing was to much trouble we asked for extra pillows, teabags, and milk which were brought up to our room. There is a weatherspoons about 5 mins walk from... More

I would visit again. A Travelodge on top of a well run pub with a real fire and excellent ales and good food. Only 10 minutes by foot from Helensburgh Central station. Amazing views across the Clyde Estuary.

We stayed here for 3 nights whilst visiting relatives in Glasgow. The hotel itself is basic, a very small reception but for the price, the rooms were just what we needed. The twin rooms all have sea views according to the desk, if you're booking a double then you need to ask for a view or you could be left... More
