I stayed in this Travelodge for three nights in May for a short break. The hotel furniture was quite tired and old but the room and bathroom was clean apart from a dusty high shelf. The room was spacious, there was a hanging rail with a few coat hangers but nowhere else to put anything else away, and the high... More

Such a shame we went up for weekend with the family the pub (commodore) was great but the Travelodge accommodation let it down. The rooms where dated and appeared clean and tidy but there was a terrible smell the first night we arrived it was not to bad it was like a slight damp smell. As it was late we... More

Stayed here for one night on our way to the Scottish highlands, the room was overlooking the sea, which was great, the room may have been a little tired but it was spotless and the bed was really comfortable. Travel lodge haven't had this hotel long so give them a chance to do their stuff and I'm sure big improvements... More

Staff disinterested in the customer, light not working in bedroom, door lock was not working. Hotel is tired and in desperate need of an update. Cracked tiles in the bathroom, grouting was dirty and there was a damp odour in the whole room.

Spent three days here and unfortunately we arrived on Friday which must have been the hottest day of the year. No fans available and our room was by the reception door and had a light that was kept on all night attracting midges. Room was not very clean but the bed was good. Not the best Travelodge I have stayed... More

Picture the scene. We had a very long car journey from England all in the pouring rain and looking forward to our holiday in a 300 year old cottage between Helensburgh and Loch Lomond. Alas the combination lock was broken and the owners we were told from the occupants of another cottage were on holiday until the next day. We... More

Spent a couple of nights here whilst visiting the Loch Lomond area. The room, which had a great view of the Clyde, was spotlessly clean, the beds so very comfy (even with the windows open to a busy road) gave two of the best nights sleep we have experienced for a long time in a hotel. Good shower in the... More

Nice sea view rooms - well kept and clean - standard hotel from brand. Had refit when there - new beds/bed runners and areas painted - manager excellent and very hands-on customer orientated person. If you needed anything they do say ask and they will try to help as much as they can - lucky told early in the morning... More

Although the decor is pretty dated as they are waiting for the travelodge doing the new make over, overall this place was fine. The room was clean and comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. It was also that quiet we could of thought we were the only people staying in the hotel! Staff were friendly and once this... More

This was a most enjoyable stay. all staff and services were excellent and the meals and service at the adjoining hotel " the commodore" were first rate. GLASGOW can be reached in under an hour by public transport, so I will be using this site for future visits to Scotland-H
