We've stayed here in a family room quite a few times both before the renovation and literally just after and we can't praise this place highly enough. Formerly The Commodore it's adjoining a pub with excellent facilities. Quiet and friendly. Previously we'd regularly stayed at Dunbarton but this is a very good alternative for those needing to reach Kennacraig for... More

We did an overnight stay on our way up to Mull. Guess it didn't help that the weather was wet and windy when we arrived at the Travelodge. It was undergoing renovation work, so I understand it wasn't at its' best. However, we booked a family room... Carrying a baby, luggage, pram etc up the stairs was a bit of... More

An overnight stop on a business visit the following day. We arrived early evening having driven up from Glasgow airport. I have to say that as we pulled into the car-park I was a bit put off by the standard of the property. Reception was tucked out of the way but the staff were helpful. The layout is a bit... More

great location over looking the Clyde. Unfortunately, the bathroom smelt foul on our arrival and was a wet room, not what we had expected or wanted. Told we couldn't change rooms as the lodge was full and that we must have booked late - we did in fact book three months prior to our stay!

Came here for a night as had a Wedding reception elsewhere the next day. Arrived late, but phoned beforehand and very helpful reception advised they were there all night if need be and would be waiting, no problem. Very helpful reception, when we did make it, advised on the pub hours if we needed a drink, but were too late... More

Stopped off for one night before heading further north. Hotel is conveniently situated within five minutes walk of the town. Room was clean. Bathroom was clean but heavily patched. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Would stay for a night again.

Had not been to the area before so we were pleasantly surprised that this Travelodge was on the sea front. Staff were excellent and very helpful and the room spotlessly clean. Plenty of free parking at the hotel and a good variety of shops and restaurants within walking distance.

This Travelodge enjoys an excellent position on the seafront very close to shops and other amenities in the town. Our room was on the second floor above The Commodore restaurant and bar (separate business but can be accessed from the Travelodge) and overlooked the restaurant garden with its outdoor seating and the waterfront with views across the Firth of Clyde... We recently visited for a family wedding and stayed for 6 nights. All the staff we came across were helpful, friendly and provided outstanding service. We had requested a sea view because we were staying so long and it was explained to us that although they couldn't do this for our first night, we could have a sea view for... More

Ok its a travellodge so wasnt expecting much anyway. It was a business trip and we had no choice but to stay here as all other hotels were booked up. The room looked good on initial impression. However there were a few issues during the stay The top of the duvet cover had a stain on it. The toilet did... More
