Ordinarily I would rather spend a night in a tent than stay in a Travelodge, however this one was different. Although the hotel has seen better days, my room was clean, warm, had a decent TV and the bathroom had been recently re-fitted. The hotel has a restaurant attached, called The Commodore. It is not part of the hotel and... More

Allocated room 2 next to reception. Could hear people coming and going. Lorry delivery bay, directly outside room window.Jingling bottles and engines idling for ages and drivers cabin looking directly into room. Had to draw curtains for privacy. Glad it was only overnight stay. Accommodation in poor state. Tip. Don't take room next to reception.

This hotel is in serious need of refurbishment. Travelodge should not be advertising there lovely new fantastic rooms in a hotel that certainly didn't have them in the family room we stayed in. Awful headboard attached to the wall but bed moved to accommodate extra bed to make it's family room head was then resting on a light switch !... More

The entrance was the first clue which looked dated and tired. The receptionist was bright and cheerful and could not do enough to help settle me in so 10/10 The door to the room was the second clue with number hand painted on? The room itself would have let the Travelodge corporate image down somewhat as the decor/carpets were dated... More

this former inn keepers lodge looks tired, however its very clean and has the excellent new travelodge beds , it could do with a lift for people with mobility issues, needs a new entrance and reception area as the former public house part of the hotel dominates the ground floor.Located on seafront at one end of town it is well... The room was an absolute disgrace. I ordered a family room and received a double with two extra beds.. The dible bed in the middle was moved therefore my husband ended up resting his head, after a 5 hour journey, on a double light switch socket - disgraceful!! Not to mention the tight space we had. Uve stayed in plenty... More

A reasonable place to stay for an overnight sleep over. Don't be put off by the exterior. The Travel Lodge is about to be refurbished but having said that, the hotel is clean and comfortable with friendly and very helpful staff. There is a restaurant next door which serves good food at a reasonable, but not cheap, price. The views... More

Helensburgh Seafront fills the traveller with dread as he/she arrives in the car park at the back of the building. It looks from the outside like a decapitated tenement block, lacking any sort of appeal, but once inside the staff are great, it is very clean, the rooms are great and there is a very useful bar/restaurant attached. Staff were... More
