I went on the Patchwork holiday. Teacher was fantastic. House has an old charm about it, not overly restored. Views magnificent. Last night had bagpipes and kilts for us. food out of this world. Homemade shortbread a must. Am going back in September as it was so relaxing. Staff were fantastic. Couldn't fault it in anyway. more

Gartmore House has extremely friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are very nicely proportioned with very comfortable and large beds. Myself and my partner had a great nights stay. We had wonderful veiws and the atmosphere was very relaxing.Very friendly staff, who upgraded us to a family room, as our one wasn't ready. Breakfast was lovely, a great selection.Will definetely be returning. Will think twice about staying in traveloges/inns in future.Perfect place for all. Especially the romantic!! more

A companion and I were traveling through the Trossachs and were looking for a very quite place to spend an evening. The local office at Abberfoyle recommended Gartmore. This home has an interesting history - it was the childhood estate of the founder of the Scottish National Party. The house is a bit run down, and could benefit from restoration.... more

although not up there with the likes of a chain of hotels, this was so friendly and personal. The drive up to the hotel was amazing, long winding road and then the hotel set back in a beautiful landscape. The staff were so friendly and helpful, our room was massive with lovely views and even the weather held up. Gorgeous... more
