Can't rate this B&B highly enough. Stayed there with two friends on the start of the West Highland Way. Fabulous couple with great chat, lovely big comfy rooms and a breakfast that set us up for the next day's walking. Felt very warm and welcoming with a great wee lounge to sit and chill in if you don't fancy any... More

We stayed at The Hawthorns on our first night in Scotland after a red-eye flight to Glasgow. Jane set us up right away for an early check-in and was very helpful with advice about where to eat in Drymen along with things to see and do on the remainder of the adventure. It was my girlfriend's very first time in... More

I picked this B&B from tripadvisor for an overnights' stay with friends I had met doing the Inca Trail last year. It was as good as all the excellent reports. Greeted on arrival by Jane who showed us around and gave us lots of hints and tips for our stay. Great room which was very comfortable and beautifully clean. Tea... More

We had a very comfortable stay at The Hawthorns. Jane was very welcoming when we arrived, giving us all the information we needed. We were delighted and surprised to find our luggage (delivered by a baggage transfer company) had been placed in our room for our arrival. This is something some other places we stayed could learn from! The location... More

Loved this B&B, very clean, good sized rooms, great views, very friendly staff, great breakfast. Stayed here on the first night of Our West Highland way. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, and owners where very pleasant. You can tell the owners really care about the guests. Great Packed lunches too! Thankyou.

We stayed for one night. Clean room with access to the backyard. Great breakfast and if you asked you could get lunch with you for a cost of 7£. We asked for some tips for our trip and got a hole route!! Fantastic couple who owns it! Great stay for a whisky trip or if you are on your walkabout.

We stayed one night at the Hawthorns, our first stop on the West Highland Way journey. We had a lovely time at the Hawthorns, on arrival we were personally greeted by the owner and taken on a tour of the B&B. The facilities are excellent - there is a DVD player in the room with a selection of DVDs available... More

We stayed here after another B and B we had booked could no longer take us. Jane was an excellent host, who welcomed us and showed us to our beautiful room. The house itself is lovely. There are extras such as DVDs and toys for children. There is also a beautiful living room where guests can sit. The bedroom was... More

Stayed here whilst walking the WHW. Nicely placed in the middle of the village. Lovely welcome from Jane and well appointed twin room. My room was twin aspect with large windows and while it was great to see out - it did rather feel as if half the village were looking in, perhaps some nets or similar at the window!... More
