We had a family room - 2 adults, 2 children, for one night while walking the West Highland Way. Very comfortable with En suite. Superb breakfast and packed lunch for the next day's walk. Lovely hosts, very welcoming. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Two couples stayed here as our first stop along the West Highland Way. Great location right in town. Chris and Jane could not have been any friendlier & helpful. We had a room upstairs (quad) and the other couple had a room downstairs. Comfortable & large room, nice shower. Nice living room area. Breakfast was excellent. Chris spent a lot... More

A friend and I were at a conference in Glasgow. We had a day and a half free for walking. We booked into the Hawthorns for a night and are very happy we did! We received an incredibly warm welcome, lots of advice about where to walk, how to get there, midges and whiskey, and the smoked salmon and egg... More

After first day on WHW, such an amazing place. A warm welcome, brilliant hosts & delightful family. House is beautiful & given over to the guests; single room was large & well equipped with good bathroom (shower only). Freshly cooked breakfast with full choice - it would be wonderful if all B&Bs, not to mention small hotels, could measure up... More

The Hawthorns is a wonderful place to stay. Two friends and I walked Rob Roy's Way in early June starting at Drymen and this B&B. The welcome we had was warm and friendly. Our rooms were excellent and there was tea and biscuits on arrival in their beautiful guest lounge. Breakfast was delicious with loads of quality items and choice.... More

Can't rate this B&B highly enough. Stayed there with two friends on the start of the West Highland Way. Fabulous couple with great chat, lovely big comfy rooms and a breakfast that set us up for the next day's walking. Felt very warm and welcoming with a great wee lounge to sit and chill in if you don't fancy any... More

We stayed at The Hawthorns on our first night in Scotland after a red-eye flight to Glasgow. Jane set us up right away for an early check-in and was very helpful with advice about where to eat in Drymen along with things to see and do on the remainder of the adventure. It was my girlfriend's very first time in... More

I picked this B&B from tripadvisor for an overnights' stay with friends I had met doing the Inca Trail last year. It was as good as all the excellent reports. Greeted on arrival by Jane who showed us around and gave us lots of hints and tips for our stay. Great room which was very comfortable and beautifully clean. Tea... More

We had a very comfortable stay at The Hawthorns. Jane was very welcoming when we arrived, giving us all the information we needed. We were delighted and surprised to find our luggage (delivered by a baggage transfer company) had been placed in our room for our arrival. This is something some other places we stayed could learn from! The location... More
