The Hawthorns is the perfect country B&B. It has all the elements for a charming, comfy stay: clean and fresh rooms, friendly owners, good breakfast, etc. but so much more. Need a place to store your food?....ok to use kitchen; need to dry your clothes? ok to use their laundry facilities. But best of all, unlike some B&Bs, they've got... More

The Hawthorns is located near town centre, with nearby pub and very good restaurant at the Drymen Inn - reservation recommended. The owners were delightful and very welcoming, Chris, the proprietor, had a wonderful wit. We were given a family suite at the rear with a door to the inner courtyard that was particularly private and comfortable. There is a... More

Arrived here to a warm welcome and to find our bags in our room, the location was a bit off the West Highland Way which we were walking but perfect, our room was comfortable, we had a lovely filling breakfast and our host was very helpful and the service was great. Will definitely stay here again if ever in the... More

The Hawthorns B & B is great; really spacious room with very comfortable bed and warm shower - exactly what you need after a long day in the rain. There is also a lounge for guests to use with comfortable and cosy sofas as well as information about the local area. What makes this place truly amazing though are the... More

Stayed here as a stopover on WHW, it was great. Both owners were very friendly and room was great; clean and to a high standard. Breakfast was amazing with a great choice. Packed lunch was great, just what was needed after climbing Conic Hill

What others have written about the hosts is true - they really are wonderful. Genuine, helpful people who are good at what they do. It's been a few weeks since I stayed there but I am still having fantasies about the breakfast! It was that good. Having stayed in a lot of guest houses and hotels, this one ranks up... More

Wonderful B&B, with the friendliest hosts we met. The family room was actually two rooms, which was great, as we could sleep while the kids did their usual giggling, etc., and breakfast was tasty and fresh. The village is nice, and although we didn't stay long, we'd love to go back one day.

From the moment you arrive Chris and Jane give you the warmest of welcomes, there house is clean and tidy and the rooms were spacious and had everything you needed. A fairly whirlwind trip around parts of Scots and and also the commonwealth games brought us to Drymen. We received a very warm welcome and found the room to be really comfortable and nearly and tide. Its also very private. The breakfast, make sure you try the Salmon as the way it is presented is awesome. Ill say it again... More
