What a welcome - pot of tea & biscuits after first leg from Milngavie. Scott & Colin were the perfect hosts providing excellent accommodation and a super breakfast, plus helpful tips about dinner options. Many thanks

From the welcoming pot of tea and jar of cookies on our arrival to the delicious breakfast at our departure, our stay at Braeside couldn't have been nicer. Scott and Colin are wonderful hosts who seem to genuinely care that their guests enjoy the inn, the town, and Scotland itself. They offered helpful advice about dinner options and graciously offered... More

Stayed for one night whilst walking the West Highland Way. We were welcomed to the B&B by a nice pot of tea. Colin & Scott made us feel very welcome. The room was very comfy and the breakfast was very good. I would definitely recommend a stay here if you are in the area.

This was the first stay before the west highland way and was a great start. The hosts were very welcoming including ensuring we could get from Balloch Station to Drymen. Beautifully decorated rooms. Highly recommended.

Fantastic warm welcome from both owners. The accommodation was excellent, very clean, I especially enjoyed the converted buildings adjoining the main hotel, and the breakfast was great. Overall, such a warm friendly feeling. We stayed here as part of a business team-building weekend. I could only add further superlatives about this location, the owners and the atmosphere. We will be back, without... More

This is a great place. My boyfriend and I stayed here back at the end of May on the first night of our journey along the West Highland Way. The rooms were spacious and super clean -the tea selections, cookies, water bottles by each night stand -everything was lovely down to the last detail! And Colin is a dream boat!... More

Because of the many positive reviews on Tripadvisor we had great expectations of Braeside in Drymen, but we were a bit disapointed. Upon arrival, we were quickly welcomed by one of the owners. The other host led us in a lightning speed around by BB and pointed us to the room. There was no space for your clothes. Closets and... More

We are naturally disappointed that your visit did not meet your expectations. To answer your points. The 'outbuilding' as you describe it, our two Barn rooms are our most popular rooms and returning guests specifically ask for them. At your time of booking you were offered rooms in the main house but you chose the Barn. There is a clothes... More

My friend and I recently walked the West Highland Way. We used many bars, restaurants, B&B's and hotels along the way. We both agreed at the end of the trip that this was our favourite of all the accommodation. It was our first stop. We arrived slightly early but were ushered straight in and given a very warm welcome by... More

The hosts are very nice and breakfast was delicious. There are options to choose from, which is always great. Our room was very clean and comfy. I liked the decor as well. If we come to Drymen again, we'll be back!

We stayed here for our first stop on the West Highland Way. We received a very warm welcome from Colin and Scott. The C19th cottage has recently been modernised in a sympathetic and stylish way. I had a really comfortable double bed with a good shower and up-market toiletries. Free Wifi that worked was a real bonus. After a good... More
