When you read all the excellent reviews of Braeside on this site, you run out of new words to describe its attraction. (It has all been said already). Colin and Scott are such wonderful hosts, and besides all the fantastic tea and chat on arrival and excellent breakfasts there are little acts of kindness that might go unnoticed (boots) -... More

I was impressed to be offered a pot of tea (or coffee) the minute we walked in the door. Just what I needed after walking all day on the West Highland Way. Great selection of fresh berries for breakfast. Excellent pub just across the road for dinner.

We stayed for one night while walking the West Highland Way. Boy, I was glad to see a very comfortable and homey place to stay. We were welcomed with a nice pot of tea and cookies and regaled with a lot of funny anecdotes from our hosts. We stayed in a cabin right next to the main building and our... More

Friendly welcome from our hosts with a pot of tea and a chat after our first day's walk of the West Highland Way. Very tasteful and comfortable accommodation, could not fault it. Served a very fine fruit salad for breakfast (as well as the traditional Scottish breakfast, made to order).

We were overnighting here for a wedding. Warm welcome on arrival and nothing was a hassle. We were in one of the 4 rooms in the main house overlooking the main road, no issues with noise from the street. Comfortable bed, room was clean and plenty space to move about without tripping over one another. Breakfast was great although I'd... More

We spent our first night here whilst walking the west highland way. Really friendly and welcoming hosts. Great room and food, nothing was too much trouble. It is centrally located opposite a super little pub. We had a lovely stay thank you.

This was a super place to stay for day 1/2 on the West Highland Way walk. A great friendly welcome with a most welcome cafetiere of coffee, yummy biscuits and interesting conversation on arrival and a very good breakfast to send us on our way.

A warm welcome from some great hosts who were happy to tell their stories over tea and choc chip biscuits on arrival . Tastefully designed throughout with some brilliant paintings on the walls. Lovely room and a tasty belly filling breakfast.

From the welcoming pot of tea and jar of cookies on our arrival to the delicious breakfast at our departure, our stay at Braeside couldn't have been nicer. Scott and Colin are wonderful hosts who seem to genuinely care that their guests enjoy the inn, the town, and Scotland itself. They offered helpful advice about dinner options and graciously offered... More
