We stayed at ashbank as our first stop on the west highland way. Our room was crisp and clean with a lovely view over garden, town and hills; owners were lovely - very welcoming and great breakfast - and Drymen is a pleasant wee village with some nice pubs and hotels.

This is a wonderful place to stay when walking the WHW. We were warmly welcomed and shown to a modern, clean and comfortable 3 bedded room with ensuite shower. Not a lot of space, but enough! Very good hospitality tray with biscuits. We went to the Clachan Inn nearby for dinner. Breakfast was lovely with a good choice available, served... More

We stayed on the first night of walking the West Highland Way on 31st May and could not fault any of it. The guy whose name I am sorry to say I forget who runs the B and B was really friendly the room was spotlessly clean as were the beds and breakfast was really good. The wet room was... More

Ashbank was our first stop on the west highland way, the owners were friendly, room was clean and modern and the breakfast was tasty. Askbank is close to plenty of pubs for evening meals and we wouldn't hesitate about staying here again if we were walking the west highland way.

Arrived at Ashbank after a long and difficult second last day on the West Highland Way having just conquered the short but tough Conic Hill. The B & B is perfectly situated for those walking the WHW and is about 2 minutes from the town square and pubs/restaurants. Was met at the door by Mhari who was very warm and welcoming,... More

Made to feel very welcome by Tommy as soon as he opened the front door to us. As we were the only guests that evening we had a choice of rooms - we opted for the king size room and boy was it good! Very tastefully decorated, quite minimalistic but exceptionally clean, fresh and airy. Close to the village centre... More

The first day of our West Highland Way walk was quite short so we arrived early at this B & B. However, Mhairi was very welcoming and the house is very geared up for walkers - boot trays in the room, heating on etc. The room itself was spotless. We met Tommy at breakfast, again very friendly and served an... More

Drymen is a great place to end day one of the West Highland Way (which is what we did). Tommy was very welcoming; the room was great, clean and well maintained; breakfast was delicious. Great place to stay.

Excellent clean, welcoming and really high standard of accommodation (plus very nice shortbread). Stayed here with my son 25th June 2013 doing West Highland Way. Tommy the owner very welcoming. Great breakfast too. Overall would give it 10/10 and definitely recommend. Looking to book again for WHW tour 2014, keep up the good work. Philip D
