I think from reading previous comments that there are two tiers in this hotel. The better bedrooms, dining rooms and amount of staff for the individual travellers and the ones provided for the many coach parties that stay here, of which we were one. The room was spotlessly clean but dated and nothing like the photos we saw on the... More

We had supper here on the first night of our West Highland Way tramp when staying at the excellent Braeside Guest House in Drymen. I had a tasty Cullen Skink followed by tender pink duck prepared to perfection. One of my travelling companions had excellent thick slices of beef with crisp vegetables. The staff were very efficient and informative and... More

This place is just lovely. The staff are a bit thin on the ground and overstretched, but always helpful and friendly. The food was delightful and our room very comfortable indeed. Drymen is a charming little spot close to Loch Lomond and the hotel is a white centrepiece. Some areas are obviously not brand new, but in a place with... More

This hotel is very pleasant, a nice little place, thoughtfully decorated with a good breakfast and seriously fabulous dinner. My excellent mark though, concerns a particular member of staff. Ryan; approachable, friendly, professional and did everything he could to make our stay the best it could be. When we asked if he knew of a local auto mechanic who might... More

The hotel is well located in the centre of the village and has welcoming bar and public areas. However, the rooms and public areas are all looking decidedly tired- several of the chairs are worn and desperately need re-upholstering, the carpet is looking worn and dated etc etc. There were rumours of wifi in the hotel, but we couldn't see... Stayed hear as part of coach tour. The bedroom was basic. The food was top class. The staff were pleasant and efficient, nothing was too much trouble. The Scottish entertainment was most enjoyable. A very pleasant stay and I would go back again.

My boyfriend and I travelled to the Winnock Hotel at the weekend and what can I say other than we had a lovely time. We had booked a standard room and were a bit disappointed with the room so asked if we could upgrade this to a delux - definately well worth the upgrade! The room was lovely and spacious... More

I stayed here with friends whilst visiting the area and the Tattoo in Edinburgh. The food was very good, staff friendly and helpful, room comfortable. The entertainment provided for us was very enjoyable, including the Haggis ceremonies. Would definitely stay here again.

We only stayed here for one night. The room was spacious and clean, but due to the hotel being a bit older you could literally hear the upper neighbours snore in the middle of the night. The dinner we had was nice and the staff in the restaurant was very friendly. The buffet breakfast was ok as well. If you... More

We stayed at this hotel for three night's, arriving on the 14 th August. It is situated in an absolutely stunning location. We found the service to be very good and the food was excellent, we had breakfast and evening meals and were given a packed lunch to take with us to the Edinburgh Tattoo on the Saturday. This was...
