My boyfriend recently booked us a room for valentines day at this lovely hotel. The hosts Nelly and James were welcoming and very helpful with any questions we needed answered and were happy to help. Nellys homecooked meals are amazing and cannot fault great food. Great stay for those who want a relaxing stay away from noise and we will... More

Had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel. 4th time here and NOTHING is too much trouble for the team of James and Nelly. They made my Dad's birthday so,so special. Everyone in our party of 7 love this place.

Had planned a couple of nights stay at the luib. But personal issues meant we only stayed one night. James and Nelly were great hosts, and very understanding regarding cutting our stay short. Brilliant selection of whiskys for those who like a wee dram. The room we had was a massive, very clean, warm, and well decorated. All you need.... More

I stopped at this hotel on the way south from Oban to see if I could get something good to eat. My timing was awkward as it fell between the usual lunch and dinner times but the owners of the hotel, James and Nelly couldn't have been more accommodating. I had a plate of barbecued lamb and rice which was... More

Excellent host and hostess. We could not fault the room, the food and the choice of malts. It was a wet and cold night in November but the log fire in the bar and the atmosphere made up for it. Our room overlooking the river and mountain was warm, cosy and had everything you need.

Stayed for three nights, the breakfasts were always very good and we ate there two evenings too. The owners, James and Nelly, are friendly and sociable and so were the locals. The place is very clean and well run by people who obviously enjoy what they do. They worked long hours but were always bright and cheerful. It's set apart... More

Spent a lovely evening at the Luib Hotel. The food was lovely breakfast was the best. The hotel is very nice, quaint in the way a 350 year old building is. James and Nelly were lovely, we spent a very pleasant evening in the bar with James. The scenery locally is superb and we had a great walk bagging two... More

We really enjoyed our recent stay at the Luib Hotel. We were wanting to stay somewhere off the beaten track and secluded so that we could witness some of Scotland's raw landscape, and we weren't disappointed. Our room was warm, and our double bed extremely comfortable. We ate dinner at the hotel every night (even though there are other places... More

If you are used to the Sheratons, Holiday Inns etc. stay away. There is no lobby, no elevator, no bell boys but hey, who cares? Instead you have James and Nell who try to do everything to make you feel at home. We stayed there during the Rydercup since this was the only hotel who did not put up their... More
