We stayed at the Glenardran House B&B during our walk along The West Highland Way. Crainlarich was a fair detour from the main route of the walk but it was well worth it. The Glenardran House has to rank amongst the nicest and best value places we stayed at during our eight day walk. The owners are very friendly, the... More

Our host Phil (and Johnny Cash fan) was kind and wonderful - his great humour left us smiling as we left to continue on our journey on the West Highland Way. Thank you Wendy for a great packed lunch! The B & B is indeed a solid 3 star - in a charming home serving wonderful breakfasts to refuel before... More

Phil and Wendy are very welcoming and are very knowledgeable about the locality. Comfortable room with good ensuite shower. Excellent breakfast. Good location in the village close to shop and station and with good eating options nearby.

Great welcome from the owner (Phil), and a very comfortable stay here for one night. The accommodation was good, and the breakfast provided was ideal for a full day's walking ahead. I would recommend this B&B for anyone looking a short-term stay.

We enjoyed our stay in Glenardran House. The en suite room was comfortable, good beds and clean. We had coffee and tea facilitys in our room. The breakfast was freshly cooked and many options for ceraeals, fresh fruitsalad. The free WIFI didn't work always, but that was no problem. We got tips for sightseeing. In the morning lots of traffic... More

Glenardran House is a very convenient spot for an overnight stay. Our recent stay there was mostly disappointing. It is very much a business, not the welcoming B and B one imagines. With some generosity, so much about it could be better. The shower is cramped in the corner, with a shower curtain and mouldy grout in the tiles. Towels are... More

Well most of the reviews we receive say how welcoming we are so not sure why you found differently. Extremely surprised you were disappointed with the room. No complaints before about the bed, curtains and generously sized shower room.We accept that some of the grout has discoloured but most certainly isn't mouldy. Never had a complaint over the towels before.... More

We arrived en route to the Isle of Skye, after a day's hard driving. Owners are very welcoming and the house is warm and cosy (LOVE the tartan carpet in the hall/ stairs!) Room was clean and tidy and breakfast was great. We felt fully refreshed and ready for the next day's driving.

Phil and Wendy were extremely helpful and friendly, even helping with connections to my family tree. Accommodation was very comfortable and clean and everything worked which isn't always the case. Would definitely stay again. The food was excellent.

This was our first day in Scotland. We arrived quite late to this nice place. However it was very difficult to find, phone don't work and we were unable to ring. Warm and friendly greeting, nice rooms, excellent breakfast. Can recommend to everybody

We stayed here one night on our way from Edinburgh to Isle of Skye. The host was welcoming and entertaining, a friendly character. He recommended a good restaurant that we enjoyed. The room was basic but clean. Only problem was that our window faced the road. The windows didn't seal well so there was some road noise.

thanks for the review - we're sorry you found a 3 star VS guesthouse as basic, so far as road noise is concerned you perhaps didn't close the window properly as the windows seal extremely well More
