My husband won a newspaper competition for Dinner Bed and Breakfast at this fantastic Hotel. The Dinner was actually a Burns Supper held in the Dutch Barn. What a night of fabulous entertainment and wonderful food with accompanying Glengoyne Malt Whiskies! Room 12 was superb, the bed was so comfortable I did not want to get out of it the... More

Recently spent one night at Monachyle Mhor. Everything they do from the soaps in the bathroom to their staff is exactly perfect. It is not pretentious in any way, but is full of class and style. Every piece of food we ate was fantastic, not to mention the wide selection of drinks. I would recommend this to anyone looking for... More

My wife and I visited this hotel in 2013...quite possibly one of the most idyllic locations we have visited. The views are unbelievable. The food was superb. The staff was friendly. The only minor criticism is that when I decided to dine away one of the nights, I sensed some uneasiness... As if I was pressured to dine there every... More

Long single track road which was nearly impassable because of the weather, but worth the effort to get there. Room was very nice and well appointed. Home baked scones to order were a nice and delicious touch. Dinner was very tasty and a good menu was offered. Staff very accomadating over food allergies, thank you. Breakfast was excellent with a... More

Arrived just after midday on the Friday. The team had put themselves out and our room was ready early. We booked a feature room for the family + small dog. Double for us a camp bed and a cot for the other two (8 and 3) and there was still bags of room. We had a brief lunch and a... More

My husband and I (and spaniel) stayed for 2 nights recently and had an absolutely wonderful time. We stayed in one of the courtyard rooms, The Byre, which was great for the dog as it had a separate sitting room. The meals were outstanding from the amazing scones with breakfast to the petit fours with coffee. But I think the... More

We stayed in Monachyle Mhor in November. We had a feature room which fabulous - big and spacious and very stylish. The food was great and the staff friendly and helpful. The location is spectacular even in a rainy November weekend. One of my favourite places to stay, we will certainly be back.

Over the past year or so numerous friends and family members have been raving about Monachyle Mhor. I decided to book a room and dinner as a birthday gift for my partner this December. We both agreed our stay was the most lovely either of us had ever had in the UK. Due to the hotel being quiet (it was... More

We drove to Balquidder during the recent heavy rain and flooding and were relieved when we finally arrived at our destination. I had previously visited some 2 years ago and remembered the overall dining experience and wanted to share this with our friends. I can assure you that we were not disappointed and indeed the food and service were better... More
