We had two separate one night stays in the same week and both nights were flawless for service, comfort and food. A simply marvellous place to chill out. We are retired and can come back, and we are going to make this a regular stop-over. Wonderful.

My husband and I had only planned to spend one night at Monachyle Mhor, but we loved it so much we stayed for three! The rooms are gorgeous, and the general feeling of the hotel is very friendly and relaxed. Exactly what you want from a boutique hotel. We came across MM after it featured on a restaurant programme, so... More

As part of a short trip to Scotland we (my partner and myself) stayed at this hotel for two nights in July 2014. The location is perfect and suited us down to the ground - roaming hills and lochs right on the door step. This family run outfit has nailed it for location and are well on their way to... More

Just back from a fantastic overnight stay at this gorgeous hotel. What can I say? The location is absolutely stunning - just what you need to relax. Rooms are unbelievable - all you need to help you unwind. The food is out of this world with the best of local produce. All the staff were amazing however special thanks should go... More

We stayed 2 nights in June. The location is perfect for relaxation, peace and quiet and wonderful views. Walking in all directions straight from the hotel. The staff were relaxed and friendly but in a good, (well-trained and professional) way. The rooms were good but expensive - but that is probably the location value. Whilst the meals were good, they... More

We have known Monachyl Mhor for many years and have been there previously to eat there on many occasions. This was the first time that we had stayed there. The accommodation was first class, warm, comfortable and attractive. The welcome was good and the staff were very attentive. We left though with a feeling that there was room for improvement. The... It is well worth the long drive down a very narrow scenic road to reach this hotel and restaurant.. The location is excellent with big grounds and splendid views. Accommodation is good rather than excellent but the meals are very good. We felt it was a little overpriced for what it provided but perhaps we were also paying for the... More

We have just returned from a fantastic night's stay at this hotel - our first visit and based on a friend's recommendation. Location is picture perfect and the views are enchanting. One word of caution, the road leading up to the hotel is very narrow and can be a tad un-nerving if you are used to motorways and more than... More

Having stayed here in 2008, I couldn't wait to go back and experience it all over again. The location is out of this world and it has picture perfect views. At some points along the road you are left wondering if you will actually head into the loch! We stayed in a Courtyard room (Room 10) at a cost of... More

Recently visited Monachyle Mhor for lunch - the set menu is fairly limited. Sandwiches are available. The bread did not have enough salt in it though was fresh but at times, really too crispy and crusty around the edges. The sweet potato soup with chilli was delicious and definitely reccommended! No cooked options were had for the main course as... More
