Stayed here for one night (wish it could have been much more) and enjoyed dinner, bed and breakfast. Food is wonderful. We stayed in a courtyard room (The Byre) - really nice - separate sitting area, double bedroom, and with a single bed off the main sitting area that would allow 3 to use the room. But all very tastefully... More

Difficult to rate somewhere like Monachyle Mhor. It would be silly to call it poor because it clearly isn't, it is just not anything like as good as it should be for the price. The setting is lovely but then Scotland has a lot of hotels in beautiful locations and that is certainly not a reason for paying these prices.... More

We did definitely enjoy ourselves at Monachyle Mhor. It's a trendy hotel with modern luxurious rooms and great food. It's a very special place with a fabulous view. Everyone takes very good care of you and we had a great stay. I would also recommend taking a Landrover safari with Hidden Glen Safari's. Alan is a very knowledgeable guide and... More

It was my first time in Scottland and I guess I couldn't wish any better. The place is everything I was looking for from a Scottish's holiday: charming, green and quite. Staff is nice as well and the food worth the car's trip in a tiny road. The chef Lewis is very talented and has an excellent taste. Room are... More

Unexpected find in the middle of nowhere amongst stunning scenery Need to travel 5 miles on a single lane road to get to it, but the view is reward enough. The hotel is a converted farmhouse, far more elegant and upmarket than one would expect. Very nice staff, top class restaurant, really lovely toiletries (can be bought at reception). Only... More

We were part of a large party for a 40th birthday celebration. On our first night due to there being lots of us and other guests we stayed in the wee Eco van... It was so delightful, and not a better view could be had. Real log stove, well stocked with logs and candles, tea, coffee and so on.. The... More

From the moment we arrived until we left, Sue and the team at Monachyle Mhor were the perfect hosts.Stylish decor has turned this once remote farmhouse into a sophisticated nod to city folk whilst retaining its traditional values and ensuring that you know you are in a remote but accessible location . Excellent hospitality, food, service, drink and local knowledge...the... More

We spend three nights at the Monachyle Mhor and highly enjoyed it. Fabulous food, great bar atmosphere at open fireplace, cosy accommodation, easy going service and relaxing surroundings. Highly recommended in every respect.

We were originally booked in to the Mhor 84 hotel, which is more like a motel than a luxury hotel. On the day, they were having a boiler fitted and the work overran, so they put all the Mhor 84 guests up in their luxury hotel at no extra cost, and arranged taxis to the Mhor 84 restaurant for those... We were there for a food and music festival this weekend. Overall the event was very well organised and catered for. The food is clearly made by people who care, and is of excellent quality. I loved that every aspect of the venue was made into a quirky space. Giant disco ball in the barn, hay trailers for children to... More
