We had a great stay Bay Cottage. The owner was very helpful when we were struggling to find place to stay for our further travels in Scotland. We were in the family room which was really nice and big. I'd definitely recommend this for a nice relaxing stay in Balmaha.

A lovely warm welcome from Liz when we arrived. We did arrive early, but it wasn't a problem. The only place on all the West Highland Walk way that offered us tea and cakes at 16:00. It was so lovely and getting to know the other walkers too. The accommodation was lovely, had everything that you wish for and very... More

We visited the Bay cottage as our first stop on the west highland way and after a long days walking we were met with a warm welcome from owner Liz. Our room was a traditional comfortable double and although not en-suite we had our own large private bathroom. The B&B was warm , cosy clean and very comfortable. We had... More

Stayed in the studio room with two friends as our first stop on the West Highland Way. Liz was the perfect host, laying on a lovely afternoon tea and cakes on our arrival. The room was perfect, very generous in size and 3 very comfy single beds. The hot tub was amazing, just what we needed after our 20 mile... More

We stayed at Bay Cottage for 2 nights on our way back home after a week in Mull. What a great plan that was. Liz, our lovely kind traditional highland hostess, welcomed us with delicious afternoon tea after our long drive, and we quickly relaxed with a comfy bed, beautiful walk along the loch and good beer, whisky and easy food... A great place to stay. Friendly welcome with cream tea, beautiful rooms, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast choice excellent and made to order. Liz was the ultimate hostess. Nothing too much trouble. Use of the hot tub was very happily received and helped the aching muscles ready for the next part of the walk. Views were exceptional.

What a fabulous B&B. We stayed in the studio above the garage and it was perfect for us. Home baking on arrival, hot tub ready to soothe our aches. Perfect location opposite the pub for a great meal. Fantastic breakfast. I will definitely return!
