A great place to stay. Friendly welcome with cream tea, beautiful rooms, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast choice excellent and made to order. Liz was the ultimate hostess. Nothing too much trouble. Use of the hot tub was very happily received and helped the aching muscles ready for the next part of the walk. Views were exceptional.

What a fabulous B&B. We stayed in the studio above the garage and it was perfect for us. Home baking on arrival, hot tub ready to soothe our aches. Perfect location opposite the pub for a great meal. Fantastic breakfast. I will definitely return!

Great place to stay. The owner was so welcoming and we where fortunate to have the studio over the garage. There was a hot tub which we didn't use but maybe next time, I can't recommend this b&b highly enough. I will certainly return. Excellent value for money, and the views are fantastic of Balmaha bay.

Bay Cottage makes the first 20 miles of the WHW worth the walk. Liz makes you feel at home from the minute you arrive until she sends you on your way the next day with a hearty breakfast. I had stayed here before with my wife and have already booked up for our walk again next year. Highly recommended.....and remember... More

After completing the first 20 miles of the West Highland Way we were looking forward to the much talked about hot tub. The owner Liz is a fantastic host, nothing was too much trouble and she genuinely wants her guests to have a great time. We stayed in the 4 bed studio next to the decking and joyous hot tub.... Just home from 2 nights stay at bay cottage. My husband is a keen fisherman and launches his boat from balmaha boat yard, literally just across the road! We decided to turn a fishing trip into a little break and booked into bay cottage! When greeted by Liz, she was very friendly and welcoming, and gave me the choice of... More

Had a very random, spur of the moment night here with 4 very good friends. Best night I've had in years. Nothing a problem, very relaxed and Liz was great company, vey attentive and so much fun. Breakfast was to die for - literally. Can't wait for our next adventure. Very honest and genuinely kind host. xx

Amazing place, warm and welcoming, tea and home made cakes on arrival. Room perfect and the use of a hot tub. Well done Liz you are a credit to Scottish tourism, warm and friendly. The breakfast was superb and the tableware would put many a posh hotel to shame.

I can't stress how good this stop was whilst walking the WHW. We were given an enormous room which could easily of slept 4 or 5 for the 2 of us. The shower was excellent, the beds were so comfortable I didn't want to get up. When Liza the owner arrived she invited us into the communal sitting room and... More
