Stopped off for a drink, because I'd read that this place has its own micro-brewery. Ordered their 70 shilling, which was okay-ish, and their cider, which was nice. I noticed bottles of a nother brew in bottles behind the bar, but, strangely, this wasn't available on tap. I asked the lad behind the bar if the microbrewery was open and... More

We did not stay here as we live in the area but were showing friends from Canada around for the day. After leaving another nearby hotel as the service was so poor and there was no atmosphere whatsoever, we tried this hotel. As soon as we entered the bar area we were happy to stay for lunch. Staff courteous and... More

...so I'm giving an average overall score, which could verge on the poor. We had to take a standard room (in one of the adjacent bungalows) as all "deluxe" were booked. It wasnt life-enhancing. Appeared to be furnished from whatever the local discount store had on special offer at the time. Spring mattress definitely budget, and towels thin and rough.... More

Stayed one night (the last) walking the WHW. We stayed in one of the cottages just up from the pub, in the two attic rooms. I stayed in the double. Room was clean and had everything needed (a nice touch was inclusion of earplugs to avoid snoring brothers!). But it was a little cramped, and the bathroom in particular was... More

Cycled from mulngavie to stay here for two nights. What an excellent choice. We were in a cottage a short distance from main hotel. Room was beautiful and private deck area was lovely. Food in the hotel was served pipping hot and fresh. Breakfast was self serve which was lovely. Great atmosphere in bar area too. Staff very friendly especially... More

Very popular Inn where we stayed on our second night on the West Highland Way. It was a bank holiday weekend so the restaurant and bar were very busy but we were served quickly and efficiently at both lunch and the evening meal. Large portions so watch what you order. Comfortable, clean rooms, with earplugs which we did not need.... More

Stayed one night in adjacent self contained cottage accommodation. Modern fresh interior with powerful shower with underfloor heating in bathroom. I suspect the earplugs were for the wildlife during the night - foxes, owls, chickens the lot - but it was good to listen to. Great self serve breakfast all food and service in bar/restaurant was great. Also free WiFi... More

Stayed here for one night with my son as our first stop on the West Highland Way. It is ideally sited as you come down from Conic Hill, walk through the car park, cross the main road and there it is. The receptionist was friendly and explained that we would be staying in a room in one of their cottages... More

Stayed one night as part of a party cycling the West Highland Way. Ideally situated for this. Very busy, obviously popular inn. Rooms were spotless and comfortable but we were a bit concerned when we saw the ear plugs at the side of the beds! The walls were thin , but we all had a good nights sleep. The restaurant... More

Stayed here with a voucher, we were in the Inn itself not one of the cottages. Couldn't complain for the price I paid however I wouldn't return. The walls are really thin - nothing can be done about that but I barely slept for listening to next doors argument/tv/door slamming/...making up. The food was nice and it was lovely to... More
