This is a very well run family hotel, and has a family feel about it. The room we stayed in was room 5, the room looked as if it had recently been renovated it was small but very clean and had everything we needed. The food was to a very high standard and was served either in the pub part... More

The staff were very friendly and said our table would be 30+ mins, actually it was only 10, brilliant. Ordered and was told it would be 20 minutes from when we finished our starters, was nearly 50 minutes and when the fish arrived it was completely over cooked and tasteless. The Clansman Pizza was perfectly nice, crisp base, good haggis,... More

We travel down every weekend have a lovely walk right down to the water and it does not end there. Bit rocky round to the right but so worth it, over the bridge and nice sandy beach there. Oak Tree has amazing food and always top quality. Biggest and best burgers ever!! Great food, not a complaint at all. Outdoor... More

Was really looking forward to lunch at the Oak Tree Inn, having heard really good things about the restaurant. Beautiful setting with tables inside and out. Perhaps my expectations were too high, but we both felt the food was very average. Definitely a case of quantity over quality, which may be appropriate if you're walking the west highland way and... The Oak Tree Inn could very likely make a good living just on passing trade as wave after wave of holidaymaker rolls in from The West Highland Way and Loch Lomond. But the Inn makes a real effort with food (try the excellent Clansmen burger) and an interesting selection of Scottish beers. We arrived a little after noon followed by... More

We stayed for one night in one of the cottage rooms, which was very comfortable and really modern. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel, both of which were great, especially the breakfast buffet (fantastic fuel for hiking!). The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and all in all we had a lovely stay. Would definitely recommend and... More

Stayed in a cottage with three teenaged children. Close to if not in the National Park. On the banks of Loch Lomond. Restaurant is adequate. Rooms spacious. Great shower. Looks like there are more upscale accommodation than where we stayed but ours was fine for a family. Lots of hiking and biking right out front. Would be very busy though... More

While walking the West Highland Way we stopped over here on day one Fantastic food, good accommodation and friendly and helpful staff. Have stayed before and will again I'm sure. The local Balmaha cider is worth sampling.

We stayed here after Day 1 on the West Highland Way - we were not disappointed. Excellently appointed, friendly staff and cracking food - albeit the breakfast sausage and egg could perhaps be of a higher quality. Wifi a little temperamental. Excellent views over Loch Lomond. Will definitely return.

I stayed here while hiking the West Highland Way. It was a wonderful spot, and I would give the restaurant the highest possible rating. The food was delicious--beef pie, sticky toffee pudding, some of the best mac and cheese I've ever had. There's also a brewery and a creamery. The B&B might deserve the highest possible rating too, but I... More
