Stayed 2 nights here. At last I have found a place that I have enjoyed staying at! Lovely to find a spotlessly clean room with some lovely touches. Breakfast was out of this world (I suspect made by a trained chef). more

I have stayed in many Hotels and Guest Houses in the West Dunbartonshire area but return to Gowanlea time and time again. It's rooms, without exception, are spotlessly clean and comfortable. Amenities and breakfast is first class, try the mushroom stuffed with Haggis!!!!!! Loch Lomond and Balloch Country Park is in easy walking distance, as are the Bus and Train... more

This was the best B&B I have ever stayed in, Andrea was so warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The room was huge and the bathroom was gorgeous. I cannot recomend this B&B highly enough! Both my partner and I left feeling that we had had a great stay and wanted to book our next visit ASAP.... more

June 15th 2009 My wife and I have recently returned from an excellent holiday in Scotland, 4 days of which were spent in the vicinity of Balloch on the shores of Loch Lomond. Our four night bed & breakfast booking was made over the internet, to stay at the Gowanlea Guest House in Drymen Road. We had never been to... more

Stayed overnight on our way to the Western Isles. The guest house was very clean, the food was lovely and the hostess was very pleasant. The rooms weren't overly large but more than adequate. Perfect for a short stay. more
