I have stayed in many Hotels and Guest Houses in the West Dunbartonshire area but return to Gowanlea time and time again. It's rooms, without exception, are spotlessly clean and comfortable. Excellent guesthouse. Rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable with lovely bathroom. Andrea the owner was very helpful suggesting where to eat at night. The breakfast was lovely.Would have no hesitation in returning again. more

This a luxury b and b located east side of the town. The owner is very friendly. The bathroom is as luxury as the hotel and the breakfast is just unbelievable good. We had a good stay in Gowanlea. more

we and our two kids stayed for three days and two nights at Gowanlea . we were taken care of very well and Andrea was very helpful in making tus comfortable. The room was well provided and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was tasty and fulsome. Excellent place to spend your holidays. more

This was the best B&B I have ever stayed in, Andrea was so warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The room was huge and the bathroom was gorgeous. Stayed overnight on our way to the Western Isles. The guest house was very clean, the food was lovely and the hostess was very pleasant. The rooms weren't overly large but more than adequate. Perfect for a short stay. more
