Old fashioned, very small bathrooms, and noisy. Apart from that all the staff I met at the hotel were very helpful and friendly. The bar was probably the best part and warm and inviting. The hotel entrance also not very accessible, tucked round the side from main road. Would maybe stay again but wouldn't want to be there for more... More

We stayed here to attend a wedding. Wasn't sure about it but the location turned out to be excellent, beside a lovely park and near to the embarkation point for the Loch Lomond cruise . You can also walk along the edge of the loch through beautiful woods by simply stepping outside the hotel. The staff were very friendly and... More

Lovely food and great personal service at our special place. This must be the third or fourth visit since our wedding when we honeymooned in The Trossachs. One special visit was a Christmas Eve when ground was covered in snow and a robin perched on a bush outside the window where we were seated. Perfect

Really lovely place, good was amazing. I had spicy chicken and chips with salad, then followed with a strawberry sundae type desert was really nice and refreshing, staff were nice, a bit slow on service though with everything that's only thing that wasn't really good!!

Myself and my Fiancée ate here in July. We both had the Wild Boar and Chorizo burger, purely out of curiosity I may add! Both were beautifully cooked and full of flavour. The only thing to upstage the brilliant food was the stunning view from the outside terrace - looking out over Loch Lomand on a sunny 28 degree day... More

We stayed at the Balloch Hotel for two nights last week end. The staff were very friendly, the food was good pub food and the location on the shores of Loch Lomond truly splendid. Whilst the rooms were clean and nicely decorated, we did not sleep very well unfortunately. The mattress was soft and you could feel the springs, our... More

The location at the edge of Loch Lomond is definitely a plus. The food at the restaurant was fantastic. Don't miss their savoury pies. We were awestruck by their multitasking staff.... Serving at the restaurant, minding the bar, checking in guests and offering to lend a hand with our bags and extra beds. However, this did result in a delay... More

The hotel is in a great position, although our room over looked a main road and with no double glazing well you can imagine. The hotel advertises a continental breakfast. Toast, jam, fruit and cold coffee is not really a continental breakfast. Oh yes you can pay an extra £8.95 each for a full breakfast. We will not be staying... More

Stayed here for May Bank holiday with my wife for a friends wedding on Loch Lomond. Have no complaints about this hotel. Location is excellent. Next to the Loch and nice woodland area. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Stay in room 10 which was clean and a good size but overlooked bins which was a shame as... More
