Picture perfect example of a traditional b&b. Flower-print carpets, knitted toilet roll covers, cross-stitched pictures on the walls.. It does not get any cosier... And absolutely delicious breakfast that no hotel would ever be able to serve.. Anne was really pleasant, caring and ever so helpful.

Ann was so welcoming - we actually stayed there in 2008 and have just got round to writing review because we've had a baby! Really good memories and would recommend. Lovely breakfasts and good advice about where to visit and how to get there and we even had a music morning with singing and piano! Very clean and homely.

Wonderful rooms, even great food. The host ( i forget her name) was very welcoming and courteous. The rooms though a bit tiny were well appointed, with ensuite bathrooms. Hot water shower was great. The location was good.

We stayed there in 2008 for a few nights and Anne Rankin was fantastic. It was like going to visit your favourite aunt. The breakfasts were great and the rooms were clean and homely. (Mel)

Monday Cottage, Balloch. Reviewer: North Yorkshire Bill Date: 10th. December This small property is not the easiest to find but is certainly worth the effort if you like the "Plain & Simple". Only 2 bedrooms, one double & one twin, both full en-suite & very clean & cosy. My wife & I received a warm welcome from proprietor Anne Rankin... More
