This was our first stop B & B on our mini 4 day road trip in Scotland. We received a warm and friendly welcome from Alison who was full of helpful suggestions and ideas on what to do and where to visit. We were shown to our room which was extremely comfortable, modern and immaculate. Alison even accommodated us on... More

We were in Scotland for 12 days and this was by far the best place we stayed at in terms of hospitality. Alison made us feel at home with customized breakfast based on our likes and dislikes. The kids loved playing in the yard and we used to sit outside the B&B and enjoy the summer nights. We stayed in... More

We had the wee'est room in the house and it was lovely. Our bathroom was down stairs and had a great shower Incredibly hot summers day Alison made sure we knew where the fan was and that the room was well ventilated Breafast was so lovely, with a big bowl of fresh berries and yummy danishes

Wife and I were in Scotland for the Commonwealth Games and elected to travel in from Balloch- 40 mins on the train from Glasgow. Alison was the most hospitable of hosts. The en-suite for the first 3 nights was comfortable, neat, clean and modern. The next 3 nights we were in the more cramped but still very acceptable converted attic-... More

Very friendly, clean, great breakfast! Will certainly come back again! Ideal when heading up north, just for one night stay or when exploring The Trossachs or Loch Lomond surroundings. Balloch might not be that attractive but who cares!

The Woodvale is a lovely B&B in the centre of Balloch. The location is ideal, within walking distance to bars and restaurants as well as the train station. The family room we stayed in was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious with large portions and plenty of toast. Best of all though, our host Alison was so friendly... More
