This accommodation was good value for money. Although the room was small, it was very comfortable and everything was ok. A very friendly welcome and a brilliant cooked breakfast. The location is excellent - on the banks of Loch Long - and we had a front room with a view across the Loch.

I know the cost was very reasonable but our experience of the room was terrible. We had an upstairs room, single glazing and very small. My husband who is under six foot could not stand to use the toilet and had to squeeze through the very small narrow door to the ensuite. The door wouldn't even open to half way... More

There are very mixed reviews about this B and B and I want to offer a fair and balanced review. On the positive, the location is amazing, with stunning views from the bedroom over the loch. There was free off road parking, sky tv, good hospitality tray and the hotel is dog friendly. The host, David was friendly and welcoming.... More

Had a great stay on the first night of a walking trip so much so I booked another night for the return leg, very friendly and helpful hosts, brilliant breakfast and a great room! The breakfast was very tasty and filling despite me only having a small request so a full breakfast must be amazing. The view across the loch... More

Just the job for a short stay for The Cobbler or other hills. Warm , comfy , and great value with a superbe view of the loch and mountains and a very good breakfast . Anyone complaining about room sizes need to do a reality check on hotel/B&B prices. And the pubs are all within a 5 minute walk .... More

I've been in a lot of B&B's and this was the worst. This review is of the room, not the proprietor. He is friendly. Our room had such a low ceiling that my son about broke his nose in the bathroom, the guys couldn't even stand right to go. The bathroom heater did not work so it was freezing. The... More

3 of us stayed here using it as a base for fishing the lochs. Basic rooms but its all you need. Rooms were warm and cosy with a nice warm shower. Breakfast was good especially the local black pudding. Decent food and a good pint at the pub over the road. I would avoid the chippy up the road. Horrible... More

This is your basic old-style B&B in a quaint little 300 year old cottage. Low ceilings (beware! There are not warning signs and one of our party cracked his head pretty good on the stairway.) and narrow stairs and hallways add to its charm. The host family was lovely with a sweet little girl that was the cutest little welcoming... More

..okay, so a few bits needed a bit of updating, but it was more than made up for by the interesting nooks and crannies in our room, and the seats by the beautiful window where we could sit and watch the world pass by. The road was a bit noisy at times, I don't think the traffic heeds the speed... More
