My other half and I spent a couple of nights here whilst travelling through scotland. Burnbrae is a traditional style B&B: slightly '1980s', not luxury, but clean and comfortable. Location: Arrochar is well situated as at the base of the highlands, there are some great mountains to tell your friends you walked up nearby (eg The Cobbler). The village is... more

1st time my fiancee & I had been to Scotland together, so B & B's were a must - no camping !! Gordon & Janice were fantastic. Helpful from the start. The room we stayed in was the double & we both loved it. The attention to detail was superb. Soaps & sewing kits, spare toothbrushes, you know the detail... more

We stayed for a couple of nights on our way up further north. We were very impressed as we'd not stayed in a Scottish B&B before. Everything was spotless, plenty of space to park the car off the road, great breakfast and Janice was very helpful with giving us some ideas for walks in the local area - which were... more

Stayed for one night but wished we could have stayed longer. Janice made us really welcome very homely place. Wonderful view across Loch Long from the bedroom. Stayed in the double room which was beautifully decorated. Fantastic breakfast. Hope to go back in the future. more

We stayed here for 1 night. The room was really nice and well equiped - even had a brolly, good idea in Scotland!! The whole place was spotlessly clean with nice little touches in the room and at breakfast. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again. more

We spent two nights at Burnbrae and enjoyed fantastic hospitality and lovely breakfasts. Attention to detail is very high. Relaxing in our room with views over the Loch while listening to a wide range of CDs was wonderful. Then literally just a few steps, and you are at the pub next door which serves excellent food. Couldn't ask for anything... more

Not stayed for a few years but just as good as ever.I really doubt the authenticity of an earlier negative review. Everything in the room we stayed in had been provided to make any guest as comfortable and as at home as possible. We pride ourselves on our own home and taste and this was just as impressive. The only time... more

We have stayed in hundreds of 4* STB rated properties in Scotland and this is one of our favourites. We will continue to book this property as long as we holiday in Scotland. The accommodation is of a very high standard and the hosts are very friendly. I would put this at the top end of the 4* rating system.... more
