I'll confess to being more than slightly mystified (and misled) by some of the reviews on tripadvisor. Of all the B&Bs I have stayed in Scotland, this was my 'least favorite'. It had the feel of an old peoples home without the sparkle. I'm sorry to say the breakfast was truly awful, and the service unfriendly. more

We have stayed in many bed and breakfast establishments over the years, and this was la creme de la creme; simply the best ever. Its rating is very well-deserved. more

Me and my girlfriend stayed for one night at the Burnbrae last week. It was nevertheless the best place I've stayed at for a very long time. The location is brilliant, in lovely Arrochar right in front of Loch Long next to a very nice and respectable pub/restaurant and a 2 min walk from the local shop. Its all very... more

The two bedrooms, of very high standard, and cosy breakfast room were ideal for the four of us staying there. Breakfast itself was also of remarkably good quality. Janice and Gordon made our 2-night stay quite memorable with the special touches that they included. All this and a pub right next door! Heaven!! more

What a wonderful B & B - everything about it was 5*. Conveniently situated for Loch Lomond or Arrochar alps walks. We did a day trip from Tarbet pier to Rowardennan and walked the West Highland Way up to Inversnaid - what a great day out. The B & B was a very short walk from the Village Inn -... more

Our last night before driving home after a week touring the Highlands and we wish we had booked a longer stay. This is an absolute gem that clearly reflects the owners' style, thoughtfulness and high standards. It is not only immaculately clean and comfortable but there is also such a sense of warmth that you feel as though you are... more

We were lucky to come across this great B&B by chance. Fantastic friendly host, spacious rooms, great bathroom, great breakfast, couldnt really want for anything extra. Lovely outlook over the loch and within walking distance to places to eat at night. Highly reccommend a visit if going through the area. more

I cannot recommend this B&B more highly! Simply the best I have stayed in. On arrival we recieved a very warm welcome and were shown our room. We stayed in the second of two rooms with two twin beds. At 6ft 4 I usually struggle with twin beds, but on this occasion I found them comfortable. There were many extras... more

Burnbrae is in a great location - next to the main restaurant and overlooking the loch. The rooms are large, clean and extremely well decorated. Breakfast is excellent with a variety of food choices. Staff are friendly without being over-bearing. Burnbrae stands out for all the little extra touches. Go there to discover them! more

This is an exceptional B&B in every way. Both rooms have a lovely view over the loch, are a good size and are immaculately clean. We had the twin room which has a small comfy sofa and low table, TV/dvd and a CD/radio. Janice has thought of everything you could possibly want and put it in the room, including a... more
