As Sarah said in her review, we found the staff extremely friendly and we were delighted that they had reserved a table for dinner for us before we had arrived. The choice of food was amazing, the staff in the restaurant extremely slick and we felt we were being made to feel at home. Our room was great and the 'Scottish... More

What is there to criticise about this accommodation, well as someone who is usually quite picky, I have no negatives at all. Firstly the room (2) situated at the front of the building with awesome views of the Loch, comfortable bed, lovely en suite bathroom. Secondly the food, Chef Andrew and his team deserve a huge pat on the back,... More

A delicious menu with at least 4 daily specials. Cullen skink was sublime, burger and fries exceptional. You have to try the sticky toffee pudding with ice cream. We aim to return for a traditional Sunday roast after the wonderful welcome we received and the quality of the food

We arrived late, the staff were very accommodating and reserved a table in the bar. The room was very nice, very well decorated. Food was amazing and very reasonable. All staff were very friendly and went out of their way to look after us. Views stunning, location easy to get to, well worth a stay.

DONT BOOK THIS HOTEL ! Because if you do, it might mean we will not get a room!!. Spent 2 nights there last week, and from arriving to leaving, we were spoilt!. The staff were outstanding, especially Marnie, whose sense of humour was on the same wavelength as mine!. Friendly & so helpful. The room was fantastic, with a very... More

We stayed for one night at the Village Inn, after a very wet & windy day walking in the hills. Even though it was June, we were very pleased that the central heating was on in the Inn! Our room was small, but very smart, clean and comfortable and we were grateful for an en-suite bath as well as a... More

We stayed one night and were in the rooms in the annexe, at the back of the pub. The bedroom was nice and spacious, however the bathroom needs updating, pull chain type of toilet which took ages to refill. We didn't sleep well as the people above us were up and down to the loo half the night. Restaurant food... More

Stayed one night on the way to the Kennacraig ferry. Lovely, quiet location but very near Loch Lomond. Staff very friendly, great food in the restaurant, well kept choice of real ale, substantial breakfast in a place with lots of character, easy parking. Will stay again. Only small reservation was the arrangement/type of beds in twin room number 15- they... More

We travelled to the Village Inn on two occasions, the first was for a quick pub lunch and the second was for an evening meal in the restaurant. Upon arrival we learned that the Inn actually stops serving food at 3pm in order to prepare for the evening and would reopen at 5pm. By this point it was 2:45 and... More
