Sited on the banks of Loch Long, the Village Inn is a comfortable and friendly hotel. The food is good and reasonable priced. Unfortunately our room was at the rear of the hotel. No Loch views, but it has recently been refurbished. A very comfortable room.

I haven't had the chance to stay or eat here so I cannot comment on either.... but for a good reason in my opinion. They don't have online booking on the website, so I called the number provided to make a room reservation. 'Jackie' picked up the call and asked if I "could call back in half an hour as... More

My sincere apologies that we were unable to deal with your telephone enquiry. Unfortunately at the time of your call we were experiencing a high volume of customers in the bar and restaurant due to the sunshine. Jacqui did not feel that she could of dealt with your enquiry professionally and asked if you could call her back. Kind Regards More

Nice Inn in a lovely location. Friendly staff and hotel decor was quite nice. The food was fine, not brilliant!, but ok for pub food and a break. The dinning area was fairly dark and could have done with more light and if it was opened up a little to the front, the views while eating and drinking would be lovely.

We stayed here for only one night, beautiful location, fantastic hotel, lovely food, staff very friendly. I would definitely recommend the village inn. The view from our window was superb. We had our evening meal here, haggis was very tasty! Our breakfast was lovely and very filling. Our bedroom had a view of the loch, it was a good sized... More

We stayed a night on a short trip around Scotland. The location of the Village Inn was exceptional. What an outstanding view from our bedroom, out over the loch. The room was spacious and comfortable and the service was friendly. I would definitely stay again if I had the chance.

We made the booking by email. Upon arrival we found out that Village Inn had not actually created the booking in their system, hence they did not have a room for us, and the place was fully booked. They acknowledged the mistake, and started phoning the neighborhood for available rooms, whilst we waited and had a coffee. They found us... More

Having visited this pub previously for a quick drink, had decided to go back and stay for B & B on way up to Mull. Staff were brilliant - cheerful and helpful; the food was delicious - best lasagne I've tasted for years; excellent choice of wines and whiskies; and - more importantly - the wildlife you could spot from... What a wonderful review. We are all delighted that you enjoyed your stay. You were very lucky to see the porpoises swimming back to sea I have only ever seen them once and it is an amazing site. The lasagne is on the Specials Board and always proves to be very popular. I ;hope you enjoyed your visit to Mull... More

I have stayed in this Inn a couple of times in the past whilst on business in the area. Unfortunately the last stay was not up to standard but this time I feel the Village Inn team have stepped up to the mark. Breakfast was greatly improved and my meal in the evening was very good. My husband joined me... More

We stayed here for 3 nights. After arriving in room 11, we discovered the bathroom was flooded; this was caused by the guests in the room above ours. The couple staying there was taking a bath together and insisted on filling the tub to the max. The water was leaking through the light on the ceiling thus causing a dangerous... More

I am very sorry that your stay was ruined by the flood from the bathroom above. A plumber was called out as soon as we were informed of this happening. We will take on board your comments regarding the squeaky floor boards and look into how we can rectify this problem. I agree we definitely need to look at Fairtrade... More
