The location of the hotel is superb, right on the loch with gorgeous view over Loch Long. Unfortunately for us, the hotel is well below par! Now, this is not the most expensive of hotels but at about 75 a night for a bed, it's not the cheapest either! My room was as basic as it can be, small with... More

Stayed here for one night on our way to Achosnich (Scotland). Nice location, staff not overly friendly and couldn't really understand English. Our room (111) was at the back of the hotel, on our journey to our room there was a very strong smell of damp. I noticed some bedroom doors being left open, when I peered in (door was... More

First thing to hit you when you walk in is the musty smell of damp. This smell continues throughout the hotel until you reach your room which, to be fair, doesn't smell of damp. Arrived at reception slightly early for check in and greeted with 'your room not ready yet' but was not advised of anything to do while we... More

We got this night with dinner bed and breakfast as a Christmas gift, the hotel was very nice and the view from the hotel was lovely although our view from our room was the back of the hotel kitchen (not so lovely) room was small but clean and comfortable. Food was ok.

We usually stay elsewhere in Arrochar but they were full. Lochside twin room was large, and so relaxing looking onto that view. We had a drink in the bar (nice atmosphere), before popping out to our usual place for dinner. I do wish in hindsight we had tried the Arrochar's restaurant. Maybe next time. Yes there are parts of the... More

Pleasantly surprised with the hotel as it was rated as 2 star. Room was clean & comfortable. Food was excellent and staff were very helpful. Entertainment by Shannon Day was another plus. Definately recommend and will revisit,

Maybe the views that sold me, but a lovely peaceful lounge where a mixture of clientele enjoyed the atmosphere. - we where in a our walking gear having just done The Cobbler, but felt accepted and comfortable enough, others in casual dress others more dressed up ( think waiting to be seated for a meal ? ) Totally picturesque view... In general this hotel is a 3/5 but for what we paid it was excellent vale for money and so I have awarded an extra star. We stayed in the Arrochar Hotel for one night. It was mainly frequented by mature couples, & groups 50s+. The environment was clean with a nice peaceful atmosphere. In the evening there was entertainment... More

This lochside hotel is located at the head of Loch Long. I booked a single room but in retrospect should have booked a double, as my room was very cramped. Excellent location for those staying a few days and touring or just one night. The breakfast was good and the staff friendly. Dinner was good value for money and with... More
