Went on a National Holiday Break to this Hotel, was quite worried after reading the reviews. Overall I don't know how they do such a marvellous job for the cost of the Holiday! I went with an open mind and didn't expect a specific star holiday. The Hotel is quite nice in lovely grounds with lovely views of Loch Long,... More

Luckily, we got a refurbished very clean room with great views and warm too although no shower. Service in the restaurant was great but food not too good.Room service was poor as towels etc not replenished like other hotels. We won't return but very good value....Would rather pay a little extra and see a little TLC.....and this hotel needs it....

Wonderful 4 days at the claymore hotel. Elaine the receptionist was great sorting out a lovely room with a view of the loch whilst making sure it was suitable for my mother who can't manage many stairs. All the staff were fabulous, friendly and efficient especially lily who served our table with a lovely happy smile. The entertainment was great... More

Really enjoyed our stay at the Claymore with National Holidays. It was the first time we had tried a coach holiday and would recommend this trip to beautiful Scotland. Our room was newly decorated, clean and warm. The food was good, no complaints. Excellent, friendly staff. Can't comment on the entertainment as we didn't go to it. Our coach was... More

had a lovely stay, the staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and the food plentiful and tasty. being winter the evening entertainment was important. friday night the singer was brilliant, saturday night he was awful. and sunday night was a last minute stand in, which started late and was adequate. If I might make a suggestion, rather than book... More

Many thanks for your review. I'm glad that you enjoyed the hotel but also disappointed that you found the singer on Saturday not to your liking. Your proposal regarding an easy open mic night is certainly interesting!! Kind regards, Gary Watson. More

Many readers will hopefully see through reviews like this and acknowledge the terrific value for money breaks that National Holidays offer. We don't serve soup with dried vegetables and there is more to the bedding than just a tartan blanket - many guests love the crisp white sheets and tartan blankets, so much so that we have to order more... Excellent stay at the Claymore, The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Our waiter for the weekend was Mark who was exceptional. I have visited the Claymore twice and will certainly visit again. The facilities and entertainment are very good. The village of Arochar is breath taking.

Our party of 6 have just returned from a 5 day break with National Holidays. We all really enjoyed our stay at the Claymore Hotel. Our rooms were as we requested on a low floor and had been recently refurbished. We had a lovely view of Loch Long. The scenery in this part of Scotland is breathtaking. The meals were... More
