Stayed at the Claymore Hotel for two nights with National Holidays. We went to celebrate my sister's 60th Birthday. The hotel though a little jaded was in an absolutely beautiful position overlooking Loch Long. The staff were amazing always cheerful and nothing too much trouble food was nice plenty of choice, especially the breakfast. Entertainment on the first night excellent a... More

We went to this hotel, as many do, on a coach holiday. A 2 night stay. We were coach trip virgins. We had zero expectation considering the price we paid. The reception did their best to give us a room with easy access but as we only booked the day before we did have to negotiate some stairs and we... More

Went to this hotel on 9.4.15 via a national coach trip from the outside the hotel looks quite grand but as soon as you walk inside it's a different story it just doesn't match the beautiful outside of the building, The staff was lovely & friendly especially Daniel who was our trips waiter right through our stay & the good... Just back from our very first National Holiday trip and loved it so much that we're already looking at what we can do next. Absolutely loved the Claymore - the staff were lovely, the room compact, the bed VERY comfortable and the food was gorgeous, with a wider choice than expected. Nothing was too much trouble- from catering for very... More

Just returnedtoday after a 3 DH break with national. Its about 4 years since we stayed and they arebfinally getting it together. The entertainment room updated and modernised. We stayed in room 314 with lovely views of the loch. The room had been updated and modernised. Plus when I was there the painters and joined were in altering some rooms.... More

We stayed at the Claymore for 2 nights at the end of March on a National Holidays Coach Trip with some trepidation after reading some of the reviews. Well, I don't know how anyone can complain to be honest!! The coach ride was long but comfortable and our driver, Michael, was very courteous and professional. We were greeted at the... More

Beautiful views across the Loch and of the snow topped mountains from our room. We encountered a couple of problems which we spoke to reception about, who then dealt with them straight away, so I would advise anyone staying there to speak to the staff if they are not happy about something. Our bed was very comfy and had a... More

Have just returned from a stay at The Claymore, with National Holidays. Asked for an upgraded room ,it was on the 2nd floor with no lifts. I agree that crisp white sheets and blankets are lovely but not in March when there is snow on the Mountains, a duvet would be a lot warmer. Now to the food it was some... More

Many thanks for your review. The crisp white sheets that we currently use are slowly being changed for duvets as most guests do prefer quilts. This is an on-going process. I'm glad that you both enjoyed the food here as well and all you have to do is ask for more food if required - we will certainly oblige. Kind... More

Lovely location. Rooms were clean and comfortable. food was lovely with varied menu. Staff all were very friendly and polite. Never seen a dining room run so quickly, all waiters ran around to make sure nobody waited. Entertainment for the three nights we were there was first class. Keep up the good work.
