We had no idea that it was a bus tour destination, when I proudly walked in and said "I'm a MacFarlane!"... not sure who was most uncomfortable?... We were given a room in the old part ((my forefathers would have slept here!!), which although a bit on the chilly side (I had the flu at the time too), had the... More

Whilst we visited the claymore hotel a couple of years ago, we were advised they were updating and refurbishing it. The room we had was clean but has not been updated. The walls and skirtings were mostly black due to scuff marks. you couldn't move in the bathroom as it was so small.I know it is a busy hotel but... More

Many thanks for you comments on trip advisor. I'm glad that you enjoyed your stay and you found the room clean and to your liking. I am concerned that you asked a couple of staff what the chefs special was on the Saturday night. We don't have a special on the Saturday night evening meal and I think that confused... More

Special thanks to all the staff and management who made us welcome. 2nd visit here and the coach driver Alex was amazing and very attentive. My husband is in a wheelchair and they made his stay very comfortable. Suzanna in the restaurant couldn't of been more helpful . Had a lovely stay . And little westie Lucy is adorable.

Stayed for one night with National Holidays. Nice friendly welcome on the coach by a member of staff which was a nice touch. Dinner was very good , although it only took a matter of minutes from being ordered to being served which makes you think did they have several meals already cooked just waiting be ordered. Having said that... More

Many thanks for your review about your recent stay. Most of the ground floor rooms have small shower rooms but benefit guests by having no stairs to go up or down. We are also in the process of renovating some bedrooms and bathrooms and shower doors will be fitted. I hope that you can return soon to try out one... More

We recently returned from a 4 day - 3 night stay at the Claymore Hotel with National Holidays. Our room ( upgraded for a total of £30) had a lovely view of the Loch and mountains. The beds were very comfortable and we had ample storage space. The room could have benefitted from central heating especially in the bathroom, but... More

Many thanks for your review on trip advisor. You are so right - national holidays do provide great value for money. We also understand that walk in showers are preferable and we intend to install as many of these as we can in the near future. Thanks again and I hope that you can return soon. Regards, Gary Watson. Stayed one night at hotel as part of National Holidays trip. For the price paid there cannot be any complains, the phrase 'you get what you pay for springs to mind'. Hotel very tired, in particular the rooms, although room was clean with exception of bathroom which had mouldy sealant around the bath. Food average and small portions, staff polite... More

We have just returned from a 5 day National Holidays trip staying at the Claymore. I awoke every morning to a view of the Loch - beautiful (curtains open) in our up-graded room which was most comfortable with all we could need. I have lots of food allergies and intolerances and the chef carefully chose and prepared safe tasty dishes... More
