Stayed here during our West Highland Way walk in July The place is an experience of stuffed animals, and bags of character. We had the most fantastic meal in the bar and were entertained by a couple of charcaters playing instruments and singing - good fun Stayed in Room 6 - The Haunted room and lets say it's an experience... Probably the best hotel I've ever been. Great if you like the Scottish style and myth. The Drovers is a unique place with good food, fine drinks and a warm feeling. Very friendly people. Most guest are hikers or travellers which greats a certain family feeling between them. If you are near, you should definetely go and stay for the... More

I am giving this place 3 stars because of the character of the bar and the great food. The accommodation was adequate. I was given a room in the annex across the road. The room was a good size with a large four poster bed but no TV or wi-fi. The bathroom was a bit dated and not as clean... More

The most wonderful place I have ever been to, real scottish home made food, the best real ale on the planet, cosy fires warm company and host and hostess that are the best. When I visit Scotland its my destination, I cant get there enough, perhaps again this winter. I could write for hours about it, but no words can... More

We stopped the night here recently. As ever the bar was lively the service prompt and friendly, the band entertaining and even the tourists from Englandshire came close to insufferable as fellow patrons. Unfortunately whilst we do enjoy the shabby chic experience the room we had omitted the chic element. Most disturbing of all was the mysterious damp patch on... More

I had been looking forward to staying at the Drovers Inn but was disappointed in our room. It was across the road from the hotel in a lodge which looked very uncared for. Many of the buildings looked unused and derelict - despite it being a fairly new complex. The room itself was painted dark red so almost impossible to... More

maybe not for everyone, stayed here whist walking the West Highland Way. Single room booked (no en-suite) , the room I was allocated was named the "Bridal Suite" and contained a four poster bed (but no en-suite). So I think maybe not appropriate for newly weds, very comfortable for me though. Room a bit scruffy but that wasn't a problem.... More

In a world of bland and predictable hotels with bland and predictable decor, it does you a favour every now and again to experience something just a little bit different - it's certainly what you get here! We had an overnight stay here in June after recommendations from family. We chose not to stay in the lodges across the road... More

On the way back from a family trip to the Highlands, we stopped off at the Drover's for lunch. I was enchanted from the get go by the building, the character and pretty much everything about the place. So much to look at and so much history. The staff were all very friendly, available and made you feel more than... More
