We arrived at the Drovers inn after a hard days walking on the West Highland Way. The chap on the reception desk did not give you the warmest of greetings and simply went through the motions. He then told us we had to collect our bags from an outside shed where they were stored and that we would be staying... More

Great bar, great food as long as you don't mind stuffed animals watching you eat. Had a room at the top of the hotel. Nice modern decor but no ensuite. Would have given 4 to 5 stars until I saw the shared bathroom. Found myself back in the 80s when avocado bathroom suites were in vogue. No shower, peeling wallpaper,... More

We stayed here for one night whilst walking the West Highland Way. Our room was adequate though nothing special for the price. I was very glad we had booked an en-suite room having seen the state of one of the shared bathrooms which clearly had not been redecorated since the 1970s and did not even have a shower.... The pub... More

The room we stayed in was filthy. There was actual mould on the bed frame! The bathroom was tiny and grimy, the breakfast the following morning was an insult to hotel breakfasts... the whole place should really be avoided, which is a shame because the location is perfect and with a bit of effort this place could really be something... My girlfriend had stopped for food here before when visiting Loch Lomond so we thought it would be nice to stay here on our visit. Great location and the Inn is certainly great to look at. Loads of stuffed animals and really old Scottish charm but this isn't then reflected when staying. The rooms were extremely basic, especially as it's... More

Stayed here during our West Highland Way walk in July The place is an experience of stuffed animals, and bags of character. We had the most fantastic meal in the bar and were entertained by a couple of charcaters playing instruments and singing - good fun Stayed in Room 6 - The Haunted room and lets say it's an experience... Probably the best hotel I've ever been. Great if you like the Scottish style and myth. The Drovers is a unique place with good food, fine drinks and a warm feeling. Very friendly people. Most guest are hikers or travellers which greats a certain family feeling between them. If you are near, you should definetely go and stay for the... More
