By far one of the most unique (and historic) places I have ever stayed in. If you are looking for luxury this is probably not the place for you. Located behind a beautiful mountain with a roaring waterfall, Drovers Inn looks exactly what you'd expect a tavern from the 1700s to look like. The pub itself is warm and cozy... More

We walked the West Highland Way and after a long days walk, we wanted to treat ourselves to this 300 year old hotel. It was well worth it. The food and the staff in the pub were great and the room was very clean and neat. We did try haggis for the first time and actually it's not bad. :)... More

Other reviews I've read give a fairly accurate picture of this place. Basically, it's like Marmite, You'll either love it or hate it. We hated it. It's old, shabby, dusty and run down. The food is typically average pub grub not particularly well prepared or presented. Our room was across the road in what appears to be a 'newer' building.... More

We stopped in with our dog on our way back from the Highlands. We missed the lunchtime rush and there was a good selection of specials on offer. Our food was tasty and served quickly but the ladies toilets are in serious need of refurbishment. Although they seem reasonably clean, the locks on the doors have been replaced many times... More

If your idea of a good hotel is spotless acres of marble steel and glass then this is not the place for you. This IS for you if you dont mind staying in a 200 year old folk museum that hasn't had a lick of paint or a vacuum over the staircarpet for 100 years. And you will need earplugs... More

Found to the north of Loch Lomond, this unusual and quirky Inn truly is a breath of fresh air far from the sterile and dull. On entering the 300 year old inn my wife and I were met by an emporium of wonderment, especially the Drovers famous snarling bear which I think is there to keep the resident ghost at... More

We stayed here while doing the WHW, the rooms have a lot of character (as does the rest of the place) We had a great meal (standard pub food) and being a Saturday there was great live music, luckily we stayed in the bar until last orders otherwise sleeping would have been a challenge with the music on below our... My wife and I regularly visit this quirky pub/hotel. The food is good plain fair, nothing to fancy but value for money. The staff are always exceptional and the atmosphere is fantastic. If you are looking for a well appointed establishment then you may be disappointed after all it has been an Inn since 1705 and looks as if nothing... More

best to go in the dark for the experience. very busy as always as only thing worth going to considering distances involved going elsewhere. worth a visit if in the area if only to say you have been there. took a while to get served and find a sea.

this is a very old building so dont expect it to be glossy. its interesting from a historical point of view and because its so different. personally i find so many hotels to be soul-less places, so alike you could be anywhere. from the outside it looks really amazing. you enter the building and see a large snarling bear who...
