Now my second visit to the Drovers, love the place, very quaint, food lovely. Made a visit to the ladies!!!!! Absolutely disgusting!!!!. My brother and sister in law were visiting from the states, I was embarrassed to say the least. Tourists must be appalled or think that us Scots are filthy. Sorry to say, I will not be taking visitors... More

After having a great previous visit I thought I would bring my family from South Africa here so they could experience a true Scottish pub. Everything inside looks completely original from the furniture to the paintings on the wall which adds to its charm. The waitresses were all lovely and dressed the part in their kilts. The food was excellent... More

Great place to stop for lunch. A very interesting atmosphere. Historical building. Food was decent. Nothing that special to be honest. Seems clean enough (though the lobby is in dire need of a dusting). Maybe they've fallen a little behind on maintenance.

Reputably the most haunted inn in the UK. Stayed one night, not in the actual inn but in the lodge right across the road as we had our Doberman with us. It was clean and plenty of room but no TV. For me this is a must and I wasn't best pleased. Don't know if there is tv's in the... More

The room was called "The backpackers Doss", it should have told us what to expect. This place gives Doss Houses a bad name. Noisy, grubby, damaged by previous residents, expensive at £90 per night. We had better value at B & B's on our 16 day tour of Scotland. This is the only bad experience of the whole trip. Evening... More

The Drovers Inn is an experience. It is full of character (and stuffed mammals and wildlife of all kinds, some of which are falling apart at the seams). It appears virtually unchanged since it was established in the 17th century. Some of the original cobwebs are still there! Extremely atmospheric and fun. Good ales. Food not the high point, but... We loved this place. We loved the tartans, the wood paneling, the candles, the kilts, the spectacular drive and most of all the food. The haggis was delicious as was the mince. I wanted to steal my son's egg and bacon roll. It's just a wonderful, wonderful place. It gave us happy tummies and happy hearts. Thank you so much!!

Ok, if you are looking for a Travelodge-type property this is not for you. We were greeted by a dusty, stuffed bear, slept in a bed that Charles Dickens must have slept in (new matress though!), windows needing repair and a bedroom door that looked like it was made of mdf but we loved it!!! Character coming out of the... More

We only stopped to eat on the way to our B&B near Oban. The Drovers is crammed to the rafters with taxidermy. I couldn't count the number of birds and mammals around place, including the bear by the front door. Staff were personable and the food filling. Don't expect cord-en-bleu this is an inn and provides food to feed and... More

We stayed at The Drovers Inn while doing the West Highland Way in June 2015. This was our second stay at this place and we stayed two years ago while doing the same walk. We fully understand that this place is about 300 years old, we don't have an issue with the 'character' nor do we have any issue with... More
