I knew it was old, but I thought it would be clean an well taken care of! Was I wrong. Main bar, food ok, girls behind bar very pleasant. That's it, it goes downhill after that. Stayed in " lodge" across road, yuk!!! Dark, no character .... Only good thing was the bed was clean. Oh my god.... Does it get worse,... More

Like many of the hotels dotted along the route of The West Highland Way, The Drovers Inn is rather over-priced and rundown. However, unlike some of the other hotels The Drovers just oozes character ... has a bear ... and the odd ghost! ;) The whole place is pretty shabby with holes in the carpets and walls, and the window... This hotel is a must if you are visiting Scotland. Truly a different and great experience. The ambiance is weird and different to any hotel you have ever experienced. The Jacuzzi room is just brilliant, very romantic - spend the evening in the double Jacuzzi!! The food is wonderful even for vegetarian we had a delicious meal. Staff are friendly,... More

Stayed at the Drovers for one night on our way up to Skye and ate in the bar. The inn is like stepping back 200 years, candle lit, log stoves and a host of taxidermy making the atmosphere truly memorable. Staff very friendly and efficient, food good and plentiful. We stayed in the Drovers Lodge over the road and the... More

Thank you for such an enjoyable stay, room was lovely and clean, food great and staff really friendly and helpful. Very old building left in a state with lots of stuffed animals, you wouldn.t look twice at the place unless you know how famous this place is. Log burners, very cosy, wine bottles with candles and the staff all in... More

The Drovers Inn is decorated with a lot of old things. That makes the athmosphere look very authentic like in an old movie. Especially the drovers inn pub is very cosy and a must see. Also the staff is very friendly and the food is tasty.

This was a welcome stop following a hard days hiking. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Room entirely adequate and bar food of a standard. Breakfast good, although cleanliness of tables was questionable.... sticky eugh! Packed lunch was good and it remains a good jumping off point for the rest of the WHW. Stuffed animals? What can one say?

I love the Drovers and visit every time we go past heading north which is about 3 or 4 times a year. Love the quirkiness, the stuffed bear, other animals and dust. I don't even mind the slightly sticky tables. However, the toilets are a disgrace!! I keep hoping to visit and discover they've been refurbed, but no. Really pretty... More

Stepping through the doors I was confused to find myself being forced to join in some sort of Halloween experience.(Well it was mid-October) Sadly it was all too easy to believe that not all the cobwebs had been applied with a spray can. The Inn has a number of drinking rooms; we went in at least 3 before finding the... More
