I was excited about my visit to the Drover’s after hearing of its history and its authentic décor. As I walked in, I was not disappointed but this however, was the end the end of my positive experiences. My first disappointment was that despite the effort to create a unique experience I found that they sold the same generic beers... More

Nice enough place but put off by staff in kilts with a range of strange accents. Rip off time at the bar for tourists who when asked were usually pointed to the more expensive but not better malt whisky. Also noted real ale pints were regularly underfilled and I only noted 1 pint that was topped up and yes when... More

Me and mate stopped at the Drovers Inn for a coffee whilst out for a cruise down the loch side on the bike. The next time I'm back down that way I think I'll spend some more time and have some of the food on offer. There is a nice atmosphere in the place, the staff were nice and pleasant,... More

What a very atmospheric bar/restaurant with several different rooms to eat and drink in. We only passed through and had a bite to eat....me having the delicious steak pie and my partner the haggis...both of which were generous portions and great value for money. I will definitely return and recommend this place. All staff we spoke to were lovely, very... More

Felt this hotel is a bit overpriced for what you get. It is very atmospheric and the area around ie loch lommond is beautiful. Staff are very nice and service was good as was the breakfast. You are paying for the atmosphere rather than the facilities in the hotel which is what the tourists want. Great for people walking west... More

stayed at the drovers inn on the 2nd july overnight on our way up to the highlands. I thought the inn was excellent with loads of old world charm. the staff were very friendly and helpful. however we stayed over the road in a lodge and this was not so good. the room was quite shabby. the jacuzzi didnt work,... After a long day hiking the Drovers Inn was my final stop. The staff in the bar, restaurant and hotel were exceptionally nice. The inn itself is certainly atmospheric, yet I stayed in the annex next door and they had a different kind of atmosphere. 'Rustic' is the word I will use. The rooms were clean, but dark and damp.... This place is not for everyone - it's quirky, quaint and utterly unique. Friendly staff (from all around the World) added to our enjoyment. Very busy Saturday night, handled with efficiency and great good humour by all the staff. Our evening meal was the best we had on the West Highland Way. Our evening in the bar was enhanced by... I had read several reviews about this place and was already very curious, when we ended up there on day 3 of our West Highland Way hike. Upon arrival we were welcomed by very friendly staff and the stuffed "pets" in the entry hall, our room showed a typical interior: 4-poster-bed and tartan as floor carpet, small window, a cob... Friendly and very atmospheric this 300+ Year Old Inn has outstanding, unrivaled decor which together with its real log & peat fires make for an unforgettable stay. I've stayed here twice, both in the Old Inn itself (Boudoir Room) and in its Lodge (Double Jacuzzi Room). The rooms are clean and comfortable but in keeping with the atmosphere and history... More
