Stayed at Cameron House with my boyfriend from 8 -10th April 08 booking a deal which included dinner on the first night. The hotel is currently under refurbishment and having booked via the hotels own website, I was disappointed to receive a phone call from them before we arrived advising that if we wanted to be guaranteed a newly decorated... more

We have just come back from 3 days at Cameron House on Loch Lomond. Its a gorgeous hotel - yes, its dark, but in a very funky and warm way. If you like Malmaison and Hotel du Vin - you will love this!! All of the bars and lounges are nicely decorated and with lots of artificial lamps and candles... more

I booked this, our first trip to Scotland ,as a treat for my husband for Christmas, it had been brought to my attention via a weekly email I receive from a company that looks around at special deals. It was sold as 5 star luxury albeit at a bargain price. We arrived on the afternoon of 28th February for our... more

We have stayed at Cameron House for the last seven years and this year we were amazed and delighted by the changes to the decor. I have to say that we went not knowing what to expect after reading some of the recent reviews. Yes the wood panelling is dark and yes much use is made of candles but this... more

Stayed for 3 nights in lodge, had high hopes had heard good things. First impression was good, lodge was spacious and extremely well kitted out. Tie backs missing on curtains and one curtain missing completely in bedroom but renovation work is in progress across the hotel. The spa is fantastic - the booking had got a bit 'confused' - this... more

This was our second visit to the Cameron House, having previously been in 2006. We remembered it as a well run, country house feel hotel, beautiful views of Loch Lomond and relaxing lounges to sit in with portraits on the walls etc. It had all the modern facilities such as the pool and gym and good restaurants but retained the... more

My wife booked to stay at Cameron House for a romantic and quiet 2 night break, Feb 16th and 17th, 2008. We were last at Cameron House about 3 or 4 years ago, we had a wonderful time and my wife was keen to go back. Unfortunately, we did not have a happy stay, this time round. Dealing with positives... more

We stayed here the week before our wedding for a relaxing night away. The hotel wsa in the process of an upgrade so there is some work going on. The reception area is fab, very dark and gothic. We stayed in a newly refurbished room on the ground floor. No view to speak off and very little light but we... more

What can I say, other than this is a great hotel in an unbelievable location. The hotel has recently undergone a full refurbishment and the public areans, restaurants, bars and bedrooms are all very impressive, without making you feel unomfortable. We requested one of the newly refurbished bedrooms after reading another review on Trip Adviser and we wern't dissapaointed. It... more

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at Cameron House and can honestly say it was absolutely excellent. We had a garden view room which also gave us a great view of the loch. The room has recently been refurbished and is gorgeous. The bathroom is stunning. Lomonds restaurant is closed for refurb at the moment but we... more
