We stayed for one night to celebrate a significant birthday. It was a fantastic treat, we had booked Loch View room and had a great view out over Loch Lomond. The room was well appointed with a massive bed. We ate at the Claret Jug restaurant at the Carrick Golf club. This is about 3 miles away and the hotel... more

Stayed in Cameron House for a one-night getaway & spa break in April. Hotel and spa both in fabulous settings with friendly staff, however there were a few added extras we didn't expect.... On check in we were offered the option of paying to upgrade to one of the master suites and we decided to splash out £75 for this... more

This baronial mansion, now luxury hotel, is on the picturesque banks of Loch Lomond. We stayed here on the recommendation of Gleneagles staff (they were booked) primarily for the golf at the Carrick. Access to the course (and the spa located next to the club house) was available by a 5 minute shuttle ride provided to hotel guests on the... more

Wonderful in house leisure facilities. Very friendly staff, everything offered with a smile. Unfortunately, apparent low level of staffing in both housekeeping and serving. Light coloured carpets (to offset gloomy decor) were in dire need of cleaning, and there was a surprising amount of dust on surfaces in public areas (my bedroom was presented immaculately). Bar and dining room service... more

Ok read all of the reviews and had to say we were a little concerned as the time approached for our stay. However with the exception of the room not been ready after 3.30pm and no milk in the room we both laughed at this as really it was expected. Think its an excuse for them to try and get... more

My husband and I stayed here just before Christmas in 2008, it was meant to be the highlight of our holiday. However I think it is too large a hotel to offer something truly special. We were upgraded to a suite on arrival which was appreciated (fantastic view of loch!), however found that some details were lacking. There was a... more

Although our room was well fitted out overall a disappointing stay with the exception of dinner in Martin Wisharts restaurant in the hotel which was excellent. Hotel seemed very busy ( large wedding on ) and breakfast was poor with the breakfast room rather scruffy and food OK for 3 star hotel only . Lovely spot however but wont be... more

We chose Cameron House to be the zenith in our tour of Scotland. The front of house staff, valet parking, doormen and reception were all doing a fine job. Our room had all the facilities we expected, having to request a bed turndown each evening was tedious and not what I am used to. The surroudings and view are truly... more

I stayed here for a few nights in early June and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. The facilities are excellent and the hotel has been greatly modernized since I stayed 5 years ago. We ate at the Martin Wishart restaurant which was excellent and the boathouse restaurant which is worth the short walk from the hotel for, it is also... more
