Had a brilliant time at The Winnock Hotel. My only suggestion is that you should go full board, otherwise it is very pricey. As I went on a full board basis with free evening bar as part of a tour group then it was total value for money. The food was beautiful!! Lovely downstairs sitting area and bar area. Two... more

There is a lovely reception room with a large open fire and seeing this you would have thought the rooms were also attractive but you would be wrong. They are just about the smallest rooms I have ever seen and the bathrooms were old fashioned and minute. The owner tries hard to be friendly but he is rather over formal.... more

My room was clean and tidy with a nice modern bathroom with TV in the bathroom wall. (bit OTT) So my room was in the back modern part of the hotel but to get to it you go through the old part of the hotel which has to be said is a bit tired and shabby. Ate in the bar... more

Have just returned from a 1 night stay, and what a perfect short stay it was. On arrival, the staff were very friendly and very helpful. There is a beautiful log fire that greets you as you walk past reception. Very welcoming. Yes there can be some confusion as you first try to get to your room, but you soon... more

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Winnock Hotel. Our rooms were very comfortable, spacious and well maintained. We dined in the Ptarmigan bar on the first night and the dining room the second. Both nights were good. The Isle of Sky Langoustines are a must for any seafood lover. Excellent. more

Had a 3 day break here in July, with parents and young daughter (<12mths). On positive side, the rooms are decently equipped and the breakfast room is nicely refurbished. On the negative, the rooms were very poorly cleaned with lots of dust, cobwebs and obvious signs that no hoover had ever visited the carpet! The access to the hotel is... more

This hotel was the first hotel of our roundtrip in scotland. We stayed here for 2 nights. Our room was way more luxurious than I had imagined. Nice beds, flat-screen, lovely bathroom! The breakfast was very good as well, so was the pub. If you need to eat somewhere, cross over the street to the Pottery which was a very... more

Winnock hotel has lots of old world charm. Our room was spacious but access was very difficult, particularly for handicapped people, and transporting of suitcases. The cooked breakfast and dining room were lovely. more

We stayed at the winnock hotel for two nights and it was a delightful experience, The hotel is a warm and welcoming 18th century build with lovely features. It was perfectly situated for us to get to go ape which is a sort of assault course in the trees, i found this terrifying but it was brilliant at the same... more
