Not a fantastic experience TBH - Our "bottle of bubbles on arrival" had to be requested - And it arrived in the form of Perry...Served in plastic glasses. Most worrying was the unclean bedding, the stained pillows, and the towels with dirty marks on them. The bedding was changed and the young lady was very apologetic. Worth noting that a... More

We Stayed At This Hotel Via A Groupon Voucher. Its A Charming Elevated Hotel Overlooking The Waterside. It's A Family Run Hotel , Who Make you feel very very welcome. During the afternoon you sometimes hear the piano being played downstairs in one part of the lounge, which i thought was nice. The rooms were lovely, clean and warm ..... More

I had the pleasure of visiting this hotel recently whilst enjoying a break in Bute. We called when the hotel was closed and was made comfortable and welcome. Wonderful gaelic coffees were served to us together with the most delicious little cakes. The owner was friendly and helpful and most welcoming. I will certainly return to this hotel

We stayed at Chandlers with friends 2 weeks ago. Our room named Hamilton was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with sea view. The owners and their daughter were very friendly. The continental breakfast was very good with fruits, selection of cereals, fruit juices, yogurts, croissants, toast and ham and cheese. All nicely presented. This hotel offers excellent value in a... Had a weekend away in Rothesay with 3 friends. Chandlers is a beautiful hotel,we were very impressed with our rooms, which had a sea view. Breakfast was wonderful, with loads of choice.I cannot comment on evening meals as we ate out. Andrew the owner was very welcoming and friendly. We will definitely return here.

My husband and I went for a long weekend to the Isle of Bute. We booked our accommodation with Dealmoster. THE CHANDLERS HOTEL : Three night stay for two people with breakfast and a bottle of bubbly on arrival. On our arrival we missed the turn off as the sign post is up on a hill nothing on the road... Thank you for taking the time to write a review & commenting on how clean your bedroom was. I would like to clarify a few points that you have made The Hotel is a substantial red sandstone detached building, with very large white gate posts and 2 enormous flag poles with a Saltire & a Union Flag flying. I’m not... More

Got a great deal on nCrowd, about £80 for two nights b&b, we'd both been to Bute before but a long time ago. Left the car in Wemyss Bay at the train station (got the last space) and hopped on the ferry. Half an hour later we're in Bute. Missed the bus to the hotel, our fault, so got a... More

We enjoyed a gorgeous two night break at Chandlers, where the weather was kind and the welcome even warmer. We stayed in two different rooms, both lovely, the Hamilton on the top floor, and the Montgomery Suite in the middle, which had the most amazing views. The only reason to change was a minor problem with the shower, however, the... More
