Stayed here for 3 nights in November. Beautiful hotel with excellent views. The staff were so friendly and helpful and it has a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The breakfast was good and the option for the cooked breakfast well worth the supplement. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

I've stayed here three times now, over the past 8 or 9 years. It keeps getting better. Our last visit -- we required four rooms for our (male) golfing foursome -- was spot on. Rooms+, plus comfortable and with style, some with views of the water, others look into the trees out back. How cool was this: one night we... More

Just back from a short stay at this hotel. It was very clean, well fitted bedroom with comfortable bed and good food. The lounge and restaurant overlook the water - just beautiful. The staff could not do enough for us. A well run establishment with efficient friendly staff.

This is a lovely little hotel overlooking Ascog Bay. The bar man who greeted us on arrival turned out to be the chef. Our room was at the end of the corridor on the 2nd floor. Small, but stylishly furnished in autumnal colours of chocolate, gold and green, warm and comfortable. There was one small window which overlooked Ascog Bay... More

This is not the first time I have stayed at this hotel, as work had allocated the hotel a few years ago. I have nothing but praise for the staff and the owners of this hotel, from greeting to leaving. We enjoyed the breakfast at an extra charge from the deal that we had and it is worth it. We... More

Stayed for 2 nights on a deal costing less than 1 night in most mainland travelodges. Room was comfy and really clean with spacious bathroom. Food was lovely, we ate in the hotel on the first night and it was excellent. Staff were really helpful and friendly and it made for a very relaxing stay. We'd definitely return.

Nice to see that Alison has finally 'wound her neck in' over all of the recent negative comments. Whilst her comments are entertainment in themselves they also show how she really regards her paying guests. What's that about lost opportunity Zippy?

Had a two night stay in this hotel 10 days ago. We had a voucher which we were unable to arrange suitable dates in August to suit both ourselves and the hotel, so Mrs Gibb "allowed" us to extend the offer into September. This was not a problem for us and much appreciated as a goodwill gesture - we thought.... More

Just back from bute, stayed in this lovely hotel on a two night groupon deal. Upgraded to a room at the front go the hotel the Sutherland room, not the biggest room but beautifully decorated and let's face it you don't go on holiday to spend all day in your room. The deal included a continental breakfast which was substantial... More
