It is well located on the sea front alongside the ferry terminal. The room was comfortable and clean with an efficient bathroom. We had a nice view across the sea to the mountains on the mainland. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was very good and we enjoyed more lovely views across the water from our table. Breakfast the next day... More

Recently decided to have a short stay in Rothesay and booked the Victoria hotel by telephone the night before our arrival. We were allocated a room at the front of the hotel with a lovely sea view, there is free parking outside the hotel (avoid the bus bay) and throughout the small town. I would have no hesitation in recommending... More

There are beautiful views from the restaurant and it's situated in a great location but the waiting staff definitely need training in customer service! We all felt our waitress was quite rude and inept. The meals arrived at different times even though the restaurant was almost deserted. Such a shame as this could be a lovely place to eat!

Recently stayed at The Victoria Hotel with a party of 12 over 6 days and we thoroughly enjoyed our break on Bute. The staff in all departments were friendly and efficient with customer satisfaction being the order of the day. The hotel is ideally situated, being close to the ferry terminal and town amenities and was ideal for our purpose.... More

I had an evening meal at the hotel recently, and was very pleased with the overall service, menu, and surroundings. The restaurant was very quiet, so the service was great ! The food was excellent, along with the glass of wine. I would recommend this location to any visitor to Rothesay.

My cousin & I stayed here during the Bute Jazz Festival and what a find. Bedrooms , although up one or two flights of stairs, were so well appointed and the bathrooms were vast. Everything so tidy and clean and the breakfast down in dinning room was super with lots of choice. We chose to have dinner down in Ghillies... More

Stayed for 3 nights in May. Was pleasantly surprised and delighted by this hotel. I had a very comfortable and spacious single room on the 3rd floor which was very quiet and peaceful. The daily exercise of climbing the stairs provided a good appetite for breakfast which was superb. The staff serving were so pleasant, helpful and efficient. I didn't... More

Stayed here for 2 nights & couldn't fault. We had a lovely sea view room on top floor so unaware of any noise from street level if there was any. You can even park right outside at no cost. Comfortable room, friendly staff & filling breakfast. There are no lifts so if any disability you may need to look elsewhere... More

I attended the Bute Jazz Festival again this year and stayed once again at the lovely Victoria Hotel. The staff are so friendly and can't do enough for the guests and the owner of the hotel took time to go around asking guests if everything was alright. The food was excellent and the rooms incredibly clean. I enjoyed it so... More
