We only stayed here for the 1 night as we were travelling onto Malaysia, but it was a lovely start to our holiday. We were greeted in an extremely friendly manner on arrival, and informed that as the hotel was not totally full, we had been upgraded to a bigger room with a better view, and boy what a view!... more

I and 5 friends stayed there at the start of August. we found it to be in a good location with nice sea view (if you get sea view room), clean rooms and nice brekfast. I will use the hotel again in the future. more

A group of friends and I stayed at the Ardyne Hotel in July of this year for our annual golf outing. This is the second year we have visited the hotel which I would recommend without hesitation. The Ardyne has a warm friendly atmosphere, fabulous rooms and fantastic cuisine. Situated on the sea front, the hotel enjoys spectacular views, and... more

What a wonderful weekend I have just enjoyed staying at the Ardyne hotel in Rothesay. This is the second year our golfing party of around 20 have visited the hotel, which seems to improve year on year. The rooms are modern, spacious and spotlessly clean. A very special thanks to all of the staff who managed to combine being really... more

Excellent hotel, with wonderful food, in a lovely location. The staff were very accommodating and it was great value for money. We stayed 3 nights, with dinner, bed and breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed it. Plenty of pubs nearby and a great view. Why stay anywhere else? more

Following our stay at The Ardyne last year we had no doubt that this was the place to stay during our short vist to Bute. I only wish that I could say the same of our recent visit (July 2009) Whilst the room standards were the same, my colleagues and I were bitterly dissapointed at the overall standards of the... more

The Isle of Bute is in a beautiful area of Scotland and Rothesay is on the way up. On my first visit several years ago it was looking quite seedy but the various tourist authorities have spent big bucks upgrading the area and it is looking good now. If you visit be sure to take in Mount Stuart House, an... more

Hi - you again! Your mistake this time was to quote from the menu on the website, so we know you haven't eaten here. Why don't you get in touch if you would like your old job back - we might have a vacancy.

Many of the reviews refer to the cleanliness or rather the lack of it We were actually thrown out of the hotel for suggesting that the cleanliness left a lot to be desired We had also booked an inclusive deal incuding evening meal at the award winning restaurant - we were asked to choose our meal in advance and told... more

Did this reviewer actually stay here? our records show no one from Preston having stayed in May!. We also have an excellent reputation for cleanliness. I quote from the report from the VisitScotland assessor who visited us on the 13th of May this year - 13 days befor ethe review "Cleanliness: Exceptional as before - great care taken over sanitary...
