This hotel is very well placed by the harbour for a spot of boat-watching - the Cal-Mac ferries ply from Rothesay to the mainland, and we were rewarded by a lovely view of the steamer, the Waverley, coming into the town. This small hotel is a very good choice on several counts - the rooms and ensuite bathrooms are clean, comfortable and attractive, the owners are pleasant and helpful, the breakfasts are good. There is a little lounge and bar in addition to spacious dining room. It has easy parking and is within a few minutes flat walk to the town... more

A solid Victorian house overlooking the bay with flowers and fresh decor, inside and out. I personally found the bed a little hard and, for a 4* hotel, expected things like the mould in the shower not to have been there. How is it that no-one has reviewed this Hotel before? The position is unparalleled, the food fantastic and the owners are the hosts form heaven. i've been twice, and found the accommodation and service faultless.
