Mum and I stayed in September 2014 for 5 nights. We normally go self catering and decided to stay at a B & B for a change. We are so pleased that we chose to stay at such a fabulous B & B. The hostess was there to ŵelcome us as soon as we arrived, she made us feel like... More

My brother in law and I spent one night here on our motorcycle trip. So I suppose we are mathematically a couple? I agree with all that was said and the views make it exceptional. Breakfast was very filling. Proprietor was very welcoming and helpful. The only criticism is that the toilet seat and cover were vigorously self closing.

When you stay here request a front room, they overlook the bay and the surrounding hills. There is adequate off road parking, so that is not a problem. It is only a short stroll into the town centre, where there are a variety of places to eat.

We stayed at the Moorings for only one night but will definitely be back soon! We had a family room with our young son and Barbara had made up a really cute bed for him, which was obviously very comfortable as he had the longest lie-in ever the following morning. The room was spotless, very comfortable with amazing views. The... More

Stayed at the Moorings for three nights ... fantastic location (most rooms have sea views), short walk to ferry terminal and town centre.....lovely breakfast and fabulous host. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she also gave us very useful tips on where to eat/drink etc

A group of us stayed over for the vintage tractor road run, the owner was an exceptional hostess, the rooms spotless, comfortable and only the weather spoilt the great views of the bay from our room. Great breakfast choices including a hearty cooked Scottish . Highly recommend and will return.

If you are visiting the Isle of Bute, you must stay at the Moorings. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious. We also had breathtaking views of the sea! The breakfast was very high quality and delicious – a traditional Scottish breakfast with more than enough food to get you fueled for your day. Barbara, the owner and gracious host,... More

A very welcoming hostess met us at The Moorings yesterday, we were given the choice of rooms; front or side, what a view from the front bedroom. We asked for recommendations for eating and really enjoyed the food overlooking the jetty. Really good breakfast this morning just right for cyclists.

I stayed at the Moorings guest house on the Isle of Bute at Rothesay on the 17th and 18th April this year. The room i stayed in was both clean and very comfortable; but what made this stay outstanding was 2 things; first the landlady herself, second the incredible views i had of the bay in the morning!. I have... More
