Thank you for making our holiday into such a happy occasion the commodore is so clean and warm, with two absolutely fantastic hosts, Harry and Hazel, their knowledge of the island is excellent they also recommended very good eateries to us, but heyThe Breakfasts they serve in the commodore are simply the best .

We will definitely be back. Hazel and Harry are brilliant hosts. The location is ideal and the views from our room were stunning. Breakfasts were excellent. Rooms were clean, tea and coffee and hot chocolate provided also biscuits. We would highly recommend it. It is very near the town centre, ferry terminal, castle, museum and shops. Also some excellent restaurants... More

We had a lovely trip to Bute with my sister and her family who were visiting from Spain (our second trip to Hazel and Harry's lovely guest house). We took the train and ferry with our bikes from Glasgow and had two lovely rooms so that our boys - cousins aged 13, 9 and 5 - could experience the joys... More

Thank you for returning to the Commodore with our Family over from Spain, it was great to see all the children together and enjoying cycling, which you don't see often these days, you all should be proud to have such lovely well behaved children. More

We stayed for 2 nights. We were able to check in at 12 as our room was ready which was a bonus but not expected. Our room was very clean but slightly on the smaller side compared to other places we have been to. The view from the room was great over looking the harbour. The shower/toilet was a good... More

Thank you for your review and for acknowledging that we had pulled out all the stops to have your room ready early (considering the people only left it at 10.30am), as we knew you were going to be arriving early, the water pressure has been fixed to give more pressure by changing the bar, but as the rooms are at... Just returned home from a lovely stay at the Commodore. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Davy, me and our dogs Jenny and Libby thoroughly enjoyed our stay, breakfast was amazing (jenny and Libby especially loved their sausages) The room was lovely and the hospitality was second to none (bending over backwards does not describe it lol ). Will... More

This is the third time we've stayed with Harry and Hazel and it is an excellent place to stay. Right on the harbour front with beautiful views of the Kyle of Bute this accommodation has very good food and excellent breakfasts. Owners Harry and Hazel are very helpful and attentive to our needs. Excellent value!

We booked at short notice. Great service. Easy to deal with pleasant helpful hosts. Good location clue to marina and ferry. Breakfast was superb. Probably the best I've had in any bed and breakfast. When we left, Hazel the hostess, chased us down the road to return my phone charger which I'd left in the room. Great little place. Thoroughly... More

I stayed here with a group of biker friends and after a week of touring Scotland, this was the most clean, tidy friendly hotel we stayed, breakfast was great with cracking food. The staff and owners where so friendly, and helped me after l was unwell. I would go back here to stay anytime, well recommended to all.

3 nights B&B with Harry and Hazel, our friendly hosts. Our room (quite bijou - with added en-suite) had a sea-front view where we could watch the Calmac car ferries come and go along with all the pleasure craft from tallish ships to Cornish Shrimpers. 5% off food vouchers for meals in Harry Haw's restaurant every time - arguably the... I have stayed at the Commodore guest house twice before in the past five years, so I was somewhat surprised to find such negative comments about it from somebody who had "stayed at the Commodore".
