We escaped our tent in Glasgow during the Commonwealth Games for a 2 night break. We were looking for comfort, good food and friendly service. We certainly got that ..... and more. The owner was in the car park to help with our luggage before we switched off the engine. We had wonderful breakfasts and delicious evening meals followed by... More

Had an overnight stay in the Shamrock Suite, in the Wellpark recently & couldn't find fault with the hotel, the owners, the staff, the food or even Archie, the owner's dog. First time stay in Tighnabruaich, but it will not be the last. The views & the hotel location are stunning & I felt that everyone connected to the hotel... More

This was our second stay at the Wellpark hotel (the time before being during winter) and having had such a wonderful stay then we were so excited to see it and the area in all its summertime glory. Like so many things, revisiting a treasured memory (even such a recent one) is a risky business and can lead to real... More

We stayed here for a wedding. We could not have been better looked after by Colin and Anne and their friendly Staff. Our room had arguable the best view in Scotland and it was a shere pleasure to sleep and stay in it. The food was excellent and the selection of malt whiskies outstanding. Tour whole stay was deightful and... More

Dear Nicholas P, Thank you so much for taking the time and trouble to write such a super review following your recent stay with us at Wellpark. It was a pleasure to look after yourself and your family during your nephews wedding at nearby Balliemore. We do hope you will all visit us again. Kind Regards, Anne & Colin More

Up in Tighnabruaich for a friend's 60th birthday we chose the Wellpark for it's shoreline location and it didn't disappoint. Beautiful views from our bed enjoying a morning cuppa from the very well stocked tea tray (the choc and ginger biscuits are divine) was a highlight. The room was spacious, well furnished and clean with a delightful en suite with... More

Dear fabhols_12, Thank you so much for your super review. It is always good when a group of friends take over the whole hotel as they can really treat is as a 'home from home'. I am so pleased you enjoyed the little touches, your room & bathroom, the whisky library, the views and of course the stunning walks. I... More

In an imperfect world, The Wellpark Hotel gets very close indeed! In fact, for a generally hard-to-please reviewer, I honestly could not identify a single shortcoming or fault. The difference between a proprietor run establishment and somewhere run under management is well exemplified here. The owners, Colin and Anne Slinger, work tirelessly to ensure their guests are happy. Theirs is... More

Dear Ishkem, Wow! I am lost for words. 'Thank You' seems rather inadequate but we really do thank you for such a wonderful review, particularly from such an experienced traveller and reviewer, it is very much appreciated. I have passed your kind comments on to our staff who are all quite new to Wellpark but seem to have grasped our... More

We stayed here with family and friends for a wedding at Colintraive. We were astonished on arrival at how beautiful the decor of the rooms was - beautiful furniture, paintings, decanters with sherry, luxurious baths and so on... But best of all were the views across the loch. Oh and the breakfast. Don't miss out on the kippers - and... More

Dear Ruth R, Thank you so much for your super review following your family's recent stay here at Wellpark. Also thank you for the lovely photo of you taking breakfast in the garden - I guess this was taken from your bedroom window. Tighnabruaich is beautiful at any time of year but when blessed with glorious sunshine there is no... More

Stayed in their rainbow room for one night. Room was clean and inviting. There was complimentary sherry on arrival and plenty of other treats. We didn't have an en suite but the bathroom across the hall was fantastic. Incredibly clean and spacious. The bar is open until late and the lounge is comfy with a brilliant view across the bay.... Dear Kristin Y, It was lovely to receive your very kind review and we are so pleased you enjoyed the little treats along with your breakfast and the stunning walk to the waterfall. Should you decide to visit Wellpark again, which of course we hope you do, please request larger portions for dinner! I have never before received a complaint... More

I quite recently spent a night at the Wellpark Hotel as the guest of a friend. There was a piquant dimension to my stay, since I had walked or biked or rowed most days past Well Park when I was a boy, some 70 years ago. The house was one of my favourites to look at, a really handsome Victorian... More

Dear Kenneth U, Firstly, must I say it was an absolute pleasure to meet you and your friend, Robin, to hear about your time as a boy living with your grandparents in Tighnabruaich during the war. I agree, it is certainly one of the most loveliest spots in the world and we are very lucky to have discovered Wellpark some... More

We're just back from staying in this gem of a hotel, which has everything you'd expect from a hotel, and a lot more. It's immaculately clean, peaceful, and welcoming. Beautiful views, and for those that like to see otters, seals, porpoises and heron from their bedroom window, this is definitely the hotel for you. The owners and staff are welcoming... More

Dear MacB123, what a super review, thank you so much. You are right the Victorian and Edwardian features are stunning and we are very lucky that so much of the original remains. It is unusual that our other guests had not reserved any particular rooms and as you arrived a day before everyone else got to have first pick! Thank... More
